sometimes i just wished i went natural just because its so interesting to see the progress your hair makes over this period of time. but then i remember how long it is and i come back to earth just thought id share
its easier to see progress by taking pictures at some sort of set interval, like every month or something. everything short of wax should be seeing at least some changes.
i went natural..and it was a long long time ago, but it really didnt seemto take long at all and your right the journey is more enjoyable if you fgo natural and every bit of progreess gives you great satisfaction i couldnt imagine ever going any other way but when i started mine both times natural was the only way i ever knew about it seems funny to me thye pain some people go through to get what will ultrimately happen on its own with no pain at all (except the mild pain from seperating) when i started mine it was a long time ago, but today at least the period between straight hair and drewads seemed like hardly nothing maybe weeks maybe a month or 2, but it didnt seem like it was even a month i think so many people are scared off by dhhq's estimates of a year or 2 that they dont even try and see just how long it really would take sure some do take nearly a year (at 15 or 18 a year feels like forever later in life a years nothing, and waitting a year for dreads is no big sacrifice) but i find rthat many natural drewads can form nearly as quickly as backcombed dreads ive seen dreads form in 2 weeks with no effort at all dhhq and knottyboy love to scarew ya intro buying theyre crap they scare u with stories of how unkempt natural dreads look and how long they take all to sell you on insta drewads that leavew ya wishing you took a more natural route i know id never regret going natural..never wish i tried backcombing people just need to learn that its so easy and any site trying to sell u on theyre methods and products arent above lying or stretching truthes to get you to buy into theyre crap well ya live and learn and if this set dont last i hope your next set you at least give natural a try you wont regret it
honey, how did your dreads turn out so great?you are one of the only people I know with great size dreads who went all natural.A lot of the natural dreadies I know just have like huggggge dreads.
When i when natural about a year ago today it was cool the beach every day and wool pillow cases are teh trick ,i think. but i cheated a lil i was knotty i put smallband to keep'em from escaping the lock lol that sounded funny but im kinda HIGH so lol but its the best way to do it cause soaring eagle is right Have the confidence of watching people that dont understand the dread lock lifestyle ,so you wait for them to look at u and you gotta smile /when it catches theirs the smile as well. that, alil -o- my philosophy behind that lol
LUX my 1st set all i knew was dont comb and dreads happen..so i did nothing at all ended up with a pillow in the back of my neck and 2 horns 2nd set (these) i still knew nothing more then dont comb and they happen but i figured out on my own to seperate them often to maintain the sizes now that they are breaking off on the ends from dragging on the ground and constantly tangling in everything i stopped seperating them almost entirely about 7 months ago and let many combine and get thicker just because its easier to keep track of em i had over 250 before that it was too manyt to keep out of the way maybe the reason so many natural dreads are so thick is itsure is a pleasuree to do as little as possibhle to yopur dreads. maybe they just opted to rip less or hardly at all
