I have tried ACV, bicarb, Bronners, DHHQ bar! All these awesome shampoo's that you all find cost like $40 to ship to UK. Any others I can try without taking out a mortgage? Thanks Alex
plain old baking soda from any old grocery store i cant remember what it cost but it aint much a dollar maybe
i like to use lush solid shampoo bars which cost as much as one bottle of regular shampoo and last three times longer : ) if you do try lush, i recommend 'soak and float' (amazing for dandruff) and 'squeeky green' which has tea tree in : )
ThePmiester: I think as someone living in the UK, Bicarb or Bronner's are your best and cheapest options. I'm assuming you know where you can get Bronner's from if you've already tried it. I know some people use Lush soap bars which are available from the UK. I haven't tried them so I can't really comment on them, but what I will say is I had a look on their website and some of the soaps seem to have a hell of lot of ingredients in them and quite a lot of them seem to have SLS in them. Don't know whether that bothers you or not. There are differences of opinion on how bad SLS is if you do some research online. I also don't think they're that cheap for a bar of soap. I guess it depends how long they last. Whats up with Bicarb? Did you just not like it or what? Although I have to say I think Bronner's almost works out cheaper for me than Bicarb. I'm yet to find out where I can buy it in bigger quantites. Having said that Bicarb makes my hair feel cleaner most of the time I think.
www.dreadworx.co.uk english/uk stockist of varying dread products (wax included) but they sell bronners, and shampoos, and juggling balls..
^^ Dunno if you were referring to me there. I meant bircarb that I can't find in larger quantities. Maybe I didn't write that sentence very well! I've only found small packets of it. I'd like to buy a big tub or something. I do order bronner's from that website though.
Other than the usual suspects already mentioned. If you're not adverse to SLS, Neutrogena make a non-residue 'poo. I myself have used T-gel on occasion and had great results.
yeah t-gel is pretty good. also, certain "normal" shampoos you'd find at the grocery store i find to be okay, as long as you read the ingredients and there's no weird shit or perfumes in it. which unfortunetly, most of the shampoos do, but there are a select few that are usable, if ya look.
You can buy big tubs of sodium bicarbonate from pool supply stores. Its used as a pH neutralizer and thats what they'll know it as. you might be able to get like 10 pounds for 25$ or some awesome price. its really cheap stuff.
Except t-gel is about £1,000,000 a bottle, and thats if you can find it cheap, and dem ain't big bottles.
i put it into water to make a solution, added tea tree oil, sloshed it on my head (literally poured it over), caught it all in another bowl, then put that on my head, til it was all nice and wet,, then i rinsed it,, dried it,, =] it strips all the crap out, its used in all sorts of things. my current toothpaste is mostly bicarb =]
Anyone how has used the Lush bars, how are they compared to Bronners on a helping knots & natural kinks? I plan on doing an UBER deep clense on friday night then, giving my hair a going over with these before rinsing? Ta Alex
Ohh cool xD What sort of ratios? Well, ok, I'll say that differently since im crap at maths... How much of everything do I use xD
