I mentioned the girl who was found guilty of intoxicated manslaughter (drunk driving) in the thread about juvenile detention and I decided to Google her name and find out when she's scheduled for release and I found she has a profile on writeaprisoner.com! I was kind of excited, because I wanted to e-mail her and see how she's doing cuz it fucked up her life, too, and it's been almost 5 years, but you have to agree to a bunch of shit and one of the things is that you don't know the prisoner. Bullshit! So I'ma write her at her mailing address. Bitches.
I plan on finding my husband from there! TRUE CONFESSION: I use to have a huge crush on Richard Ramirez when I was like 13.
thats cool, I remember there was a thing like that here and we had to write letters to a prisoner for an assignment... not sure if they actually sent them though.
I think it's neat that they do that stuff for them because a lot of them (Billie -the girl I knew- included) just made a stupid mistake that landed them in prison and you know...they're still people and they still need that contact with the outside world.
I could link 'em to my forum and set up an online prisoner orgy thread....... ......i've got nothing better to do
Well according to this specific site, the prisoners don't have internet access, they print off the e-mails and give them to them, then let them write back and they type them up for them. Something like that. So of course, it's heavily monitored.
Alot of prisons are set up that way. Its easier to exploit the labor of a petty criminal than to try to make a real fuck up work. Give light sentences for those who will be violent ect and give long sentences to people who made a mistake.
