1, How old was you when you first masturbated?

I started rather young. I had to have been six, maybe early into my seventh year on this planet. Rumor has it (from looking at some baby photos) I might have tried it before then. Those years were the longest period of abstinance of my life. Like many people here, I was not able to ejaculate at this time. I distinctly remember the "session" where I first did that (many years later) because it was a huge epiphany for me about how sex worked.

I actually found out about it myself and it was completely non-sexual.

I was sitting on the toilet trying to read a book. I actually started reading before I entered school and developed a life long love for it. Even at this age I would read whenever I got the chance. I was done with my business but not done with the book. Absentmindedly I started rubbing my penis with my free hand. To my shock it got a little harder and bigger -- plus it felt pretty good. I kept doing it... and forgot about the book. That book taught me about self-induced orgasm. Even though I am sure it had nothing to so with sex.

Yes very much so. Later I learned to mix it with meditation (thanks to a martial arts program that stressed paying attention to the body with meditation). It wasn't very long after I discovered it that I figured out it might have something to do with sex. I didn't know exactly how sex worked and didn't even know what I was really doing. Ironically, I learned that masturbation was evil -- from church -- long before I had a sex ed class where they finally told me that masturbation was something I did. At that point it was too late to resolve the conflict between what I was doing and something wrong and evil. I never felt guilty about masturbating... I just found it really odd that other people did.

I sure as hell do. I probably average about 2 times a day. Maybe once most of the time but some days a lot more than 2. The longest period of non-masturbation I have dealt with was less than a month. Mostly cause I was super busy and just never had the time -- never really thought about it.

Does the hand lotion I "borrow" from work count? Other than some lube, my hands are plenty for me. This does not mean I have never used sex "toys." More appropriatelly, before I could ejaculate, I would rub against anything soft: stuffed animals, pillows, or sheets on the bed. I guess if you count my stuffed lion I had in fifth grade as a sex toy.

Yes, no, maybe? I got an awful lot of "warnings" about the evils of masturbation when I was growing up. I knew anything regarding bathing suit areas was private and thus did it only in my bedroom or the bathroom. But I did get a lot of talks. Of course, for all I know everyone could have been getting that number of talks as the fundamentalist church my mom was in was obsessed with how its members utilized their genitalia. Keep in mind, in each and every talk either masturbation (the word) or terms like "self-abuse" were used. It was at the end of 7th grade when I took sex-ed -- against my mother's wishing and knowledge -- that I learned what they meant. For the most part, I assumed it was so foul and evil that I didn't have to know what it was because I could not accidentally do it.

I also had a friend walk into my room in college when I was jerking off. I was facing away and wearing a long shirt. He came into the room (and I highly doubt he saw anything) and asked if I wanted to hang out. I told him sure and asked if he minded if I put on some pants because all I had on was this shirt. lol, church mission trip. We are staying as a group in a church. There is a complete lack of privacy. Finally I need release. I fake sickness and when everyone else was gone I went ahead and relieved myself many times.
