Vision Council for the Ocala Gathering, looking for people to camp in the Ocala National Forest. Please come with respect, honor and sacredness, no alcohol please, only come if you are going to help plan to confirm scout council's sites. If you can read a topo map, that would be really nice. Also we need people that have been to a Rainbow Gathering. We need to confirm that the sites discussed during Vision Council are still usable.


When: Friday Night, January 9th to Sunday, January 11th Dusk.

What: Find a campsite for the night on Friday night and set up. What you need to camp over night: Be light as possible with your camping gear. At least 1 gallon of drinking water per day per person. Bring food to share as there will be no kitchen. Pack food for a 2 nights and 2 days in the woods. Bring lighter and sleeping bag. Please only safe community fires, if you do not know how to have a safe fire, then please ask.

Goal's: Our goal is consensus on the site for the Ocala Gathering in 2009.

Where: Vision Council will be at the North end of Farles Prairie

2. Take exit 352 (I-40) toward Silver Springs/Ocala 0.

Continue to follow SR-40 34.

4. Turn right at SR-19 2.

Turn right at NFS 599
6. Go Past NFS 562(4-way stop) to NFS 599A 2.4mi (<----This is "B" on map.

7. Turn left on 599a and go 0.
4 mi approx

 

How did things go?
I wish I hadn't had to move out of Orlando back in August, or I would have been there.
But I'll be in Orlando/Ocala by the first week of Feb, to help out with seed camp.

Oh, S.E. won't actualy be there. He'll stay in Philly. If he actually went to Ocala, he might learn that all his s***t talking about that gathering is just that, s***t.

 

awwww, did i miss it.... i thought it was in february, and i was so psyched out for it too...

 

You might be confusing January council with the February gathering. Seems to be a lot of that going around.
