Trippy Music

So what music do you like to listen to when you trip?

I usually start off with some trance and then move to Floyd

 

floyd is always up there

 

Psytrance or Breakcore music is probably my favorite thing while tripping things like Infected Mushroom, 1200 Micrograms, Venetian Snares, Aphex Twin & so on!

 

obviously, it does depend your mood and initial musical tastes. if you typically enjoy a style of music, then it may be nice on drugs also.

bach and orchestra can be amazing music, though not very trippy.

 

Listen to Mozart and try to hear all the different layers of music. Then remember that he never wrote this stuff down, he composed everything in his head. They say he was one crazy fucked up dude. No wonder he was on drugs all the time... but his music is incredible..

 

I like chilled out sounds of deep house, moving into progressive house.

I'm not into the diva-esque over the top deep house...but a nice smooth, silky, sexy sound and later on take it into smooth and melodic (not dark) progressive house.

 

probably thievery corporation. OH! steven halpern. his music makes me feel like im ascending into heaven.. crazy shit.

 

Lately, the best tripping music for me is Infected Mushroom, Skazi, with some Chopin thrown in.

Pretty much everything I like otherwise is great while tripping too. What I've found truly amazing lately is jazz (Naked Lunch soundtrack) and instrumental prog rock/metal (Battles, Indukti).
