i have this tattoo & its placed here on my body (not the best picture of me but the only one that shows placement i've wanted it covered for a few years now & have been in search of the tattoo i want to cover it with. i've always wanted a tattoo representing my star sign, pisces, so i'd like some sort of fish. obviously with this been a cover up i want to make sure its the tattoo that i want. also the lizard is quite a dark colour, would this be a problem? this is the kind of tattoo i like do you think that it would be posible to cover the lizard tattoo with that fish tattoo. i'm obv gona ask my tattooist but i just wanted to see what you good people think first.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that'll work. Nice job finding a good tattoo for it, too - same general shape and all. You should be fine.
Yes, that will be possible. The general rules for coverups are that the new tattoo must be darker than the original and larger than the original. So, the other tattoo would fit the bill nicely, but you'll have to go larger. Basically, the lizard would have to get covered up and blended by the darker spine of the koi or blended into the head if you wanted to go very large. The other option is to laser lighten the tattoo before covering it, which might open up other possibilities. Talk to a tattooist and ask to see pictures of coverup work he has done. Coverup is a skill that not all tattoist do well, so make sure they are capable. Also, please have a custom design inspired by the attached photo drawn for you. It is not cool to ink stamp someone else's tattoo on yourself.
i was on holiday in Lindos on Rhodes Island Greece, one of the most beautiful places i have ever visited.
did you take this pic coz i think i seen it on TV it won 1st prize for best photo from australia and it was taken by a kid. But i could be wrong
Ditto to all of that! The cover up will come out larger than you think more than likely. But, it is the same general shape and with a little work your artists will come up with something that you can both agree on! Also... I'm waiting for summer myself. I love the pic of being in the life jacket going swimming! Ahh how I long to get in the pool and bask in the glow of the sun! (Luckily I got my tattoo done in the winter so by summer I'll be good to go!)
Yeah i dont see a problem but it is going to have to be bigger then your old tattoo. I am thinking much bigger then you are thinking just because the tattoo you want looks to me like it is just as skinny in length as your old one. But go for it, it should be fun . Big tattoos are fun tattoos.
yes It could work but as others have said it would have to be dark and you will only be able to use certain colors, you will be limited that is the problem. And it would have to be larger of course. Go to a good shop and if they say you can use any color to go over that they are full of shit, it will bleed through in time.
