puppy issue - what do we DO with this?

    Seriously, nothing we've tried has helped. Should we just let her do this?!?

    well.... id just let it go. put her outside or in another room when you vaccuum. it doesnt seem like that big of a deal, shes just threatened by it. some dogs just really hate stuff like that.

    This type behavior is very typical of many dogs, most especially herding dogs such as my Border Collies. I have found that redirecting their attention while vacuuming or out mowing my several acres by either giving them treats (Scooby Snacks/Milk Bones), chew toys or even a good raw bone to work on usually does the trick in making them overlook their basic instincts.

    I wish you the best of luck in this particular instance, since even though we humans may consider our hounders tamed; in all dogs there is still and always will be the wild wolf in their personality regardless of our presupposed civilized efforts.

    When i had dogs they used to do that all the time .. They wanted to help me vacuum , and they used to get mad that i did it by myself. They got pretty mouthy and just sulked.
