For the past few months, I've developed an aversion to red meat. It happened to me before, because one Christmas morning, I got up, ate some beef jerky, then barfed it back up. For a few weeks, I couldn't stand the taste of red meat, whereas before I couldn't stop scarfing red, raw, bloody beef. Then I went back to my blood and burger craving for a few years. Now, I'm back to not wanting it. I didn't get sick on it again, though I did try to cook it once and had it come out terrible and I haven't wanted it since.
I don't get it. I can eat a crappy burger from McDonald's, and the empenadas I made with ground venison last night tasted great to me, but now when my bf makes me steak or his famous spaghetti and meatballs, can hardly stand it.
It seems I can only eat it if it's heavily processed or heavily seasoned now, and it's really upsetting. I went from drooling over watching lions take down zebras on the Serengeti to a chicken and fish girl, and I don't like it!

    :eek:PREGNANT!

Okay, now that I've already said it (and I' reasonably certain I'm not), what are some OTHER (with stress on the OTHER) causes of this? It's annoying. I want it gone. Someone help me out.

Try wild meat... may be some chemicaly or hormone shit they pump the bovine with that is rotting your gut.
If you dont know anyone that hunts maybe an organic food store could hook you up.
I dont think that I would even trust certified organic beef.
Best to get some deer or elk that someone shot... that way you know what it has eaten
    good luck

That's the problem... I've been eating venison, and it's turned me away from pretty much all red meat. I think it might also have something to do with the similarities in flavor between Canada goose and beef... I was eating so much goose that when I went back to venison and beef, it tasted like shit, because I associated the goose-flavor with the beef-flavor... or something?
I dunno. I taste things funny anyway because I can't smell. Maybe I've got a brain tumor, lol...
