I have thoughts about moving out this summer. What do I need to know? I plan on getting an apartment in Cleveland with a friend.

Any advice on someone moving out for the first time?

Any other bills I am forgetting?
Rent -$150-$250 (we may get a 3rd room mate)
    Food - $50-$75 a week
    Phone $35 a month
Gas for car ($25-$35) a week - Plan to commute to community college
What could I expect to pay for electric and water?

How many hours a week should I plan on working with a minimum wage job of $7.30 an hour? How many hours a week would you recommend working and whats the least amount I could?

electric and water is not very expensive but depending on how many showers, washing clothes etc. both combined Id roughly say an extra $60 a month? Thats pretty rough not suree what the costs are there, cause wow rent for 150-250 your lucky! But adding it all up it came to about $600 a month, which is not bad at all. But that is about $150 you need to earn a week, sooo you would need to work around 23 hours a week if you make $7.30. That can be REALLY hard in school, especially if you don't want to work weekends, but what can you do...

    Good Luck!

Thanks! Well we plan on finding an apartment between $400-$500 if its just us too. Then if we find another room mate were gonna look for a 2 Bed room which would be $600. Therefore I hope to pay $200. Which sure would be nice!

But Yes I figured cost of total living would be around $600. So I figure if I can come up with say $1,000 before I move out and find a 30 hour a week job hopefully I would be ok. I'll probably eat less expensive. (hopefully :) )Now that I think about it I am going to start saving every penny so I can.

ooh this is exiciting! i'm moving out, and into a house next year with atleast 3 other people. it is going to be our own little commune. and we will all be pitching in. i really feel there will be alot more freedom within it, considering at home i live in fear of a family who don't agree with my lifestyle. have fun big man, and thank you ultrachi
