Definitely does...something. it's About 2 hours since I smokeed 6 hits of it and I'm still feeling the effects although milder. It came on quickly while smoking, while I was taking the last 2 hits actually. It stated with a headrush and happy feeling like weed, but after that its really nothing like weed. There is a weird feeling of being sedating and excited at the same time. I had sensitivity to touch, but not all over, mostly in the facial muscles and er..groin area, altho i think sex would be very difficult on it. Smiling and flexing any facial muscles felt tingly and seemed to increase the high but actually touching the face with my hands it felt numb. Walking is dizzy and disorienting so I spent most of the time sitting down. The smoke tastes nice, like nothing i've tasted before though so i can't really describe it. like sickly sweet rotten fruit i would say? The smoke is hot but cooler than salvia, it goes down easily. the heat is inbetween salvia and weed definitely. It's not as sedating as I thought it would be but there was definitely a couple moments where i just closed my eyes and went, "hey this feels nice" It's easy to type and think although memory seems to be impaired, it's hard to stay focused on one thing. Definitely more of a body high. Also the smoke has a weird like "icy hot" quality as if you were to swallow some ben gay or something. it feels hot and cool at the same time while smoking it but your throat feels cool and clear afterwards. Almost like after eating altoids lol. All in all i'd say it's worth trying to see if you like it, and there aren't many trip reports on this at all. Erowid has nothing, Lycaeum only has a relative of the plant. There are some posts on bluelight about it tho and it's used in quite a few smoking blends. whered you get it at? i remember hearing about it a while back, but i couldnt find any growing by where i live and stuff, so i just kinda forgot about it.
At BBB it's 28 grams for $16. I wish i'd gotten the extract tho, it's too much to smoke since it burns so hot. Might have to make a bong of some kind.
