The heart comes from Nature, is concerned with Nature, and is therefor neutral. Anyone can lose the heart for striving to see higher truth, I believe, but then there is the knowing that there is something that you can never know what it is. I dont believe this ever dies once you can silence your doubts as well as beliefs, and settle into a certain state concerned with accordance, or direct guidance. This is open, ever flowing, but not subject to the weaker whims of the struggle for assertion and the comfort in superstition (regarding the trascendental, of course). "cancalam hi manah krsna pramathi balavad drdham tasyaham nigraham manye vayor iva su-duskaram" "For the mind is restless, turbulent, obstinate and very strong, O Krsna, and to subdue it is, it seems to me, more difficult than controlling the wind." - Bhagavad Gita 06:34 For anyone interested but unfamiliar with that, the above quote is not concerned with the phsyical sciences, the metaphysical sciences, philosophical pondering or any other worthwhile schools of thought. I know you well enough Ry to realize that your talking about (however vaguely) love and all that the merging with higher states of awareness entails, so I think the quote will pertain to you proper. If God is on your mind and in your heart, the confusion of maya can only drain you so long as you let it. I struggle daily with keeping that perfect state at the center of my awareness, but it comes and goes according to how well established in either meditation or service I have been. Lately I've had next to zero disciplined silent sessions to plug back in, and it's been showing in my personality and how poorly Ive chosen to respond to lifes obstacles. But I just finished cleaning up the new home and set up my little prayer corner, and plan on going back to my daily sadhana. Although Ive had no experience with psychedelics since early September, and although I've ignored any disciplined efforts, still in the back of my mind I have known that it would come back to me. We just have to be patient and wait our turn to catch a wave. Like the chorus to the Yes song about the story of Siddhartha goes, "I get up, I get down". Namaste ~
even in those times when samsara threatens to blind you with gale force, know that even this season will pass you by
Peace only comes when you stop attaching yourself to peace. When peace leaves you and you still don't care, then you are truly at peace.
Haha exactly The world will most likely never be at peace And it is definitely too much to ask for everyone to obtain inner peace as well So all we can try to do is obtain it within ourselves =P
wanderingturnupII basically said it lol.....and inner peace is different for everyone, but you can tell when someone has it or not, some people are born withh it some achieve it, this is what i beleive.Either way its fucking amazing...LOVE TO EVERYONE WOOOO
you know I think bipolar people they like... they have a period of time where the heart is open so they feel really good, but they don't ever realize this. They think it's because of other things, so they don't pay attention to the heart. So then when something happens to close it, they also think it's because of other things. So they never realize, if you just payed attention to the heart as the component which controls reality, you could keep reality where you want it at all times.
What is wrong with not having or obtaining peace anyway? Or more, why do you have to view it as a 'bad thing'?
Because one state is reactive and illusory and the other isn't. See, the thing is, you already are at peace, you just need to realize it.
Be honest with you friends and family and thus yourself, you will love youself for it and in that you will be able to love others. Every moment you must live in truth and your heart will flow with energy. There is no end to the energy that flows through our chakras. Be honest or guilt will block the flow of energy to your heart!
Why do you need to realise it? Is it so bad if you don't? The adage of 'ignorance is bliss' seems to work for a lot of people.
He didnt say everyone needs to, he was referring to people who are looking for answers that bring peace. If you are looking, you 'need' to realize that you are what is preventing you from being at peace.
