Doonesbury has helped keep me sane through the Bush years by making me laugh at it sometimes. There's a great bunch of stuff this week. http://www.doonesbury.com/strip/dailydose/ I especially love yesterdays (Jan, 14). "Since you claim that you would have invaded yesterday, why do you regret that the intelligence was poor?" A good question....he wouldn't have been able to do this great thing he did if the intelligence wasn't wrong, right? Another, similar question, why did he regret not finding weapons of mass destruction, if he's glad we invaded anyway? Isn't it good that there weren't any, or our military would have probably suffered even greater loss. I'm so glad he said that. I know some people, one in law in particular, who still believes we did find weapons of mass destruction.
That was the backup plan in case he didn't do enough damage invading Afghanistan and Iraq and wrecking the U.S. economy. .
I couldn't help but think of the people in Gaza when he said this: What are we doing in their defense?
I don't know about you all, but I was LOLing for the majority of it. Oh, and also chanting, "Cry! Cry! Cry!"
