I just discovered this today, a blog written by a girl in Iraq that is very informative and well written. It gives a very extensive and personal account of what its been like for a civilian living through the American invasion.

Does it mention how pissed she is at Iraqi insurgents that continue to detonate bombs around Iraqi civilians?

If you read a lot of her posts you'll see she mentions everything going on around her bandit. It really is a good blog.

Im not a big fan of the war or anything. I wish we wern't there. But... I just dont know what to believe on the internet anymore. I Dont know if someone may be a governmental pawn trying to shift vote to another party or what. Ive heard so many mixed things coming from iraq (acctual personal accounts.) It seems to be a place where no one wants to be. (people Other than bush.) I dont trust any media anymore. Every media is biased. Iraqi media "They fucked our shit up, and life sucks." American media "We fucked their shit up, Life is better for them."

All I have to say is dont trust any type of media. Damn sleep depervation and 12 hour shifts. Fuck homeland security. All I can say is that Ive heard so many things about iraq/bush recently (W/I 24hrs) that im never putting faith in the media again. (And none of what ive heard has to do with the blog.)

Oh and dont vote for bush or kerry.

Im prolly gonna delete this in the afternoon if it makes no sense.

    Im tired im out

You know what? I agree with you. The media on both sides tells it's own story depending on their agenda. You want to know what I would be willing to do? If the whole country decided it was fed up with how things are going and being run from both sides that it just didn't vote. You think that would send a peaceful message to our government? I know it wont happen, but man I think it would be one hell of a message.

Yeah that would probably kick some sort of sense into them. I wish we could somehow manage to do that :/

I've been reading this for a while; I hope she's real; if you read her early posts she explains some of her history and why her English is so good.

    Oh please....

I understand you are a soldier over there, but come on. You actually expect us to believe that every Iraqi killed was someone who was attacking U.S. soldiers? Or that no one here cares that our soldiers are out there dying?

I'm sorry if you don't feel like people here in the U.S. dont care about you, but believe me, we do. Many of us here, especially at these forums, hate to see our own sacrificed the way you have been. And EVERYONE want's to see things get better over there.

And I havn't seen any biographies on any Iraqi's. In fact, there hasn't even been a real body count for them. So to say anyone is acting like they care more about the Iraqi's is just false.

What he is saying is true. At my last base I would watch CNN every morning.

"2 soldiers killed in iraq... And now the michael jackson case."

The News people always fail to report the success of a mission. "Back in the day" the news we used to get; used to be, "10,000 Nazi's killed in raid." (We may have lost 1100 people, but is was shown as a victory to boost american morale.)

In iraq, we may take out 100 insurgents in a strategy, but all you will hear about is, "4 soldiers killed in iraq." Or a car bomb is sent in route, us security forces are alerted, they take action and get the majority of people out of the affected area, but some people think its bs, and linger. US forces save 155 people, but all what the headline reads is "Car bomb kills 22 civilians."

Im anti iraqi war, anti bush. (I have to reiterate, because some people get confused.) But the media and coverage we have over this war is unreliable and way too biased.

The media on both sides tells it's own story depending on their agenda.

At least reporters in Iraq tell the same story. It's extremely dangerous just to be out on the street for a short moment. It's extremely dangerous to visit anyone. It's extremely dangerous to ask anyone anywhere any question. It's extremely dangerous to be overheard speaking English. It's extremely dangerous if you go outside of the green zone. Even the green zone isn't safe.

So that's pretty much the end of it. We've screwed up so royally that we can't even place human beings in a position to find out how badly we've screwed up. So at least we know for SURE how well Bush manages a war.

I think it's pretty obvious that "she's real," but real or not her points are right on target. If we keep Bush for another term, we're going to be increasingly isolated in the world. Where do most of our cheap products come from?Wwhere does most of our oil come from? From other countries. If we keep cowboying around we're going to wear ourselves down militarily, socially, and economically.

Bush's invasion of Iraq was the product of a small group of right wingers like Paul Wolfowitz who consider ideas more important than people. They were just sitting around doing mental mastubation about how to "transform the Middle East" until they got Bush's ear who then committed our military to a destructive, expensive, and foolish military adventure which is doomed to failure. 1,000 Americans and thousands of Iraqis are dead and for what? The terrorists have a new haven.

Real or not... I printed out the last few blogs, for some people here I know that are from Iraq. (they're around because they are getting trained.) From the reactions I got from them, I can safely say that about 80 percent of the blog was BS/and or over exaggerated. Based on the reactions I got from the iraqi soldiers.

If Bush is re-elected, we're so screwed it'll be beyond words. I'm listening to a John Prine show from a month or so ago. He says to the audience that the president is "asking for it." They cheer. LOL. Damn straight.

John Perry Barlow quoted a Vietnam vet now in Iraq as saying it's so bad that before we finish evacuating, "Vietnam will look like a good idea." Bush did think Vietnam was a good idea- of course, someone else did the bleeding and dying.

My son was at an REM show last night, and said that the show was actually interrupted by some Nazi assholes with a Bush/Cheney banner, eventually Stipe had to flat out say "shut the fuck up." Imagine THAT.

You know who will take the blame for the whole Iraq thing, right? Wolfowitz, Rice, Powell, and any other blacks and Jews they decide to scapegoat. If they EVER learn to admit they're not Serving God with every decision.

This is a national emergency, we've gotta get Bush outta there. Vote, bring friends, he may steal this one, but at least then we can get on with the civil war. Cuz I really truly believe it's coming. Too many people are openly speaking of it- strangers in stores talk in threatening tones about Republicans, and I had a customer once, over the phone, tell me that the time has come to stop talking and start shooting.

Sad to see it coming to this, and until the RepubliNazis are overwhelmingly shown the power of the ballot box, they'll just keep on wasting our kids' lives over in VIETNAM PART TWO.

Meanwhile, I don't know where these alleged Bush supporters are hiding. But damn, a hard rain's gonna fall on them.
