okay, i'm being dramatic. but i just got a rejection letter from a school that i was sure to get into and it was my number one choice. i really feel like shit, and now I'm worried I won't get in anywhere.
Sorry to hear that. Your only 18 though, can't you try again next year, if it's the place you really want to go?
Is it marks? Can you retake a few classes and get better scores? It might be worth it if this is what you really want to do...
I remember my senior year I had only applied to two different schools at the very last moment. I was totally worried I wouldn't get into either and wouldn't be attending college. I actually ended up getting accepted by both. If I can give you any advice, don't do poli sci if you do get accepted into school. It's a worthless degree to have. At least, be open to different degrees while you are doing your generals.
go to community college nearby and rock your grades. another thing to consider is that the economy is in the shitter and having a degree most certainly doesn't mean you'll get a job. You could just end up with $100K worth of public library learning and a piece of paper. As for poly sci check out volunteer opportunities. There are lots of organizations that will make you look a bit spiffier for colleges. And if you work in the mean time you can accumulate money as well as experience and you might get a better sense of if you really want to go into it.
