Just thought I'd post this link here ... one of those things you find by chance after you've been surfing a few hours ... this one has some nice advice on making flower wines, herbal incenses, etc. all from a wiccan point of view:
    http://mosshippohaven.info/13-herb.html

BTW, here's a link with a bunch of sage plants, including "Sage, White:"

and Pinetree Seeds has White Sage seeds on this page:

I THOUGHT I had heard correctly that most magickal plants were the same as the healing plants - but I'm never sure if what I've heard is correct about magicks since I know SO little.

Heartsease (commonly called Johnny Jump-Ups in my area) grows wild in my flower bed. Even if I didn't consider them for their healing qualities, (tisane-teas to ease bronchitis is my main interest, though there's some question about the salicylate level with my allergies) I would grow them for their happy faces. There's something so nice about a flower that's so happy-looking that grows literally as a WEED that I've just gotta cultivate them.

Lynn - thanks for the book recommendation! I've gotta check that one out too now :)
    love,
    mom

hsm, I hope you enjoy the book...:) It covers so much, it'll be well worth looking into.
I can't "get" the little johnny jump ups to grow wild anywhere around here but on the side of the road :( But we do have a whole area of wild (purple and white) violets in the yard...I've looked up a good bit on pansies, since they are my favorite - and whereas some references refer to heart's ease as pansies, violets, violas Or johnny-jump-ups, others indicate heart's ease Only as the "wild pansy" (your johnny-jump-ups)...so you really got it right.
