Okay, so I admit it. I'm a baseball fan. And I'm just SICK--- SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK that the Cardinals won. History: I was born and raised a Houston fan, as far as I know they've never gotten this close to a series appearance, it comes down to the last game in the NLCS and TA-DOW --- blown -- no world series, no pennant, nada. Bupkis. Zero. Zilch. I'm hating that right now. Probably no-one here cares, and that's okay. But I had to cry to someone. BAH! G.
I'm with shroom on this one! I grew up in St. Louis, and I have no home team here in Portland, OR. I'm thrilled that Cardinals didn't choke in the playoffs, like they've done the last couple of times. I guess they finally got enough good pitching to last the entire series. Their last blowout against the Braves was humiliating! I think they were the first team to ever lose in the playoffs after being up 3 games to 1. Now the Yankees have surpassed that record by losing after leading 3 games to 0. Even though I'm stoked about the Cards, I thought a TX vs. MA World Series would've been interesting, in light of the presidential election!
Me being a chicago cubs fan in the middle of cardinals country is going to be difficult. I am never going to hear the end of it.

I hadn't really considered the TX/MA series thing --- But hey, it would have added color to the whole affair (on both sides, huh?)... Cubs fans. Cards fans. Next there'll be Braves fans showin up in here... BAH!!!! I'm just kidding. Although I am now rooting for the Red Sox to win. The sox will win...or I'm out 50 bucks. How great is it to be living in New England right now?! The patriots are undefeated and the sox are kicking ass. I am quite pleased.
