i was told by someone that dish soap could be used as a dread shampoo

i guess because it cuts grease and leaves no residue

it sorta makes sense but i dont know how good that it is for your hair ..any ideas

I tried this over christmas. I thought I had mould and heard dish soap worked well for it. It really doesnt work at getting dreads clean and left my dreads feeling really residuey and disgusting.

combing the normal way dammages hair thats whjy you get it trimmed all the time to remove dammaged ends...backcombuing is far more agressive and dammaging many say it ripped 1/2 theyre hair oiut at the roots
    its not nesacaruy
ive never done it so no personal experience
but even igf u backcomb most likely it will fall apart
it doesnt really make dreads happen much faster
if u can be patient and not backcomb uy will be better off

It all depends on your scalp. Try it. For me, it makes things waaaay too dry. I use regualr dandruff shampoo and my head is really dready.

i use baking soda and hot water- a couple tablespoons full of baking soda, then add hot water, mix it until it's mixed together. wait until it cools (or else you will scald yourself) and then pour it over your head in the shower, it feels reeeally good.
