like one of them shops that sales funky hippie stuff.. or like the natural foods store. how do i do that?
rub patchouli oil on the walls, burn several thousand sticks of incense all at once, and smoke a bunch of shitty cigars?
i burn a lot of nag champa, at least 5 a week.. got one goin' right now. still smells like.. normal in here!
you also need the smell of dusty old stuff that's been sitting on a shelf for a long time. and the smell of crystals. that makes a difference too. it's a settled in kind of smell, it can't be created overnight.
hmm... i think more house plants would help too. plants always have a great earthy smell to them. i don't dust.. unless you count writing an OM in the dust.
i don't think my house is that dusty, but i never dust. i will clean everything when we move out in a month. without cigars, you will never achieve the head shop feel. i am sorry.
BLAH! not a head shop smell.. i get sick if i smell tobacco .. even if it isn't burning. more like a funky gift shop... i'm having a hard time explaining what i mean.
i know exactly what you mean. a hippie new age shop. with tons of tie dyes and tapestries and crystals and rocks and clothings made by artisans in 3rd world countries and tons of sterling silver jewelry. with sages and incenses and really neat gifts.
Palo Santo. It's a natural incense wood, it smells fantastic, even slightly arousing. Better than any incense or candle i've tried. You burn a little corner of it, wave it around the room a little bit and the ember puts itself out due to it being a slightly moist wood. Your room will smell nice for 2 days One time BBB sent me a sample of it with an order, and on my next order I bought their 4oz. package. http://www.bouncingbearbotanicals.com/palo-santo-p-46.html
the tea light candle oil burner is pretty amazing. i have one, and it will fill up the entire house. and its a big house -maze style- and yeah, white sage smudge sticks. gotta love those. i sometimes take the scented carpet powder you used to vaccuum and just sprinkle it through out the house, and then rub it in a bit. i would do that, and ppl would leave the house still smelling like flowers.
