Do you think that the fruit of knowledge might have been weed or psychedelics?

No not the literal fruit of knowledge from god as the bible puts it, but whichever hebrew tribe wrote the old testament, must have had a specific fruit in mind. A fruit that grants knowledge and changed perceptions of the world. A fruit that can take you from a happy content place to a turbulent and sometimes scary place.

Do you think that maybe they were referring to some ancient members of their tribe who had a bad trip on something, any of the natural psychedelics? Maybe they had some people go insane or something?

The fall of Man happened about 300000 years ago.

I don't think any of the tribes of Israel existed back then.

Maybe it was salvia, cause it could be rewarding, but hear it could also be scary. Hell, it could also be a banana.
