...I just read a post from some time ago that you make your own clothes. I was just wondering what kind of equipment and what kind of materials do you use to do it? As I'm considering doing the same thing myself being a) a fairly artistic person and b) getting frustrated with the lack of appealing gear in the shops (even in the 'alternative' places like Afflek's Palace and Camden market). Maybe you have some pics of some of the stuff you've designed?

thanks dude ...i use scraps mainly cos im skint...i have a beautiful sewing machine called lily..you will pretty much need a machine if you wana make clothes..unless your very patient and can hand sew very well! an overlocker is very useful aswell, i dont have one personally but use one at uni. this neatens edges... you can buy diffrent needles for diffenrt fabrics you want to sew, so there really are no limits when it comes to creating clothing...at the moment im learning to make knicekers! haha not very exciting but its cool using industrial mahcinery. im also doing creative pattern cutting which is really ace as im learning how to mainpulate darts and seams and pockets and stuff...the basics...ask me anythin you wana know and il try and help! have fun making!
Cheers thanks for the info. I'll check out the Argos catalogue and hopefully I can get a fairly cheap sewing machine.
