Well i bought a quarter pound last week and it was realy dry, so i put a few orange peels in it and it worked great. The only problem is now i am seeing little blue dots which i am sure is mold, and im pretty sure i am fucked. What can I do to save the weed, i was thinking of letting a fan blow on it for a day to get all the moisture out so no more mold would grow, but then even then smoking that weed would be dangerous because of the mold. Maybe would making hash work?
i don't think there's anything you can do about it, I wouldn't risk it if I were you....chock it up to lesson learned
You must have put like a whole sack of oranges in it to make a whole QP go moldy man. Just pick out the good weed and sell the rest saying its Blue Crescent bud. That sounds like a name for good weed and I just made it up.
I know, but what i mean would making hash out of it be fine, since you have to use rubbing alcohol in the extraction that would kill all of the mold spores making it safe?
History of Penicillin Originally noticed by a French medical student, Ernest Duchesne, in 1896. Penicillin was re-discovered by bacteriologist Alexander Fleming working at St. Mary's Hospital in London in 1928. He observed that a plate culture of Staphylococcus had been contaminated by a blue-green mold and that colonies of bacteria adjacent to the mold were being dissolved
yeah smoking any amount of mold cannot be a good thing, I really wouldn't risk scraping it off or smoking non tainted buds from same bag.... as for the hash, it sounds like a good idea but Im not entirely sure it would kill the mold...try erwoid or whatever its called
wouldn't bubble hash be more suitable for anything over an ounce? seems a lil ridiculous and sorta unsafe to use that much rubbing alcohol or that much butane to make hash out of a QP
what if the mold was like magic mushrooms and you made halucinagenic(sp) weed. yu could make so uch off that
Well obviously a butane hash oil extraction would kill the mold, but which extraction is it where you use rubbing alcohol? It cost me 950 bucks, so throwing it out is not an option.
