What kind of sherlock is this?

this isn't my pipe but the serlock in that picture doesn't have a can, but the U-bend is big enough to still put water in and be a bubbler. What kind of sherlock is this called?

That is either a dry piece or a stemless bubbler.

 

definitely a dry piece. If you'd fill it with water to use as wet piece, I'll guarantee you'll suck in a big ol mouth ful of H2O
