Hitting on women

It only ever seems to work when I am drunk, or when I am am doing it in casual conversation without being aware of it. Its when I actually "try" to chat a woman up, that my brain stops working entirely, my wit disappears and I can't keep a straight face, in fact, I turn into a small baby who has not yet learned to speak. Its kind of annoying, in fact its probably the only situation I ever come across that I completely lose my nerve. I just hope that women find it cute. Do they?

 

I have the same problem. Which is why I end up drinking as often as I do.

 

Trying is always bad, at least to me.

I like people who just talk to me like they would to anyone else and we just click. It can be a "I want to fuck you" click, a "I want to date you click", a "I want this moment to last forever" click. A click, that was shared.

 

Some probably do, but I think most women like a man with a bit of self-confidence, without being up his own ass, full of one-liners or into auto-fellatio.

I know what you mean. Its great when that happens. I suppose the conditions aren't always right for that though. Its so much easier to ask someone at a party or at the pub if they want to go home with you or if they want to go outside with you etc. but at places of work and study, you have to do a lot of trying...and its not an easygoing atmosphere. I am great at approaching girls in the wrong sort of places, but as soon as I do I become a blubbering fool.

 

i think the most attractive guys are the ones who are working the room with a buddy, chatting with all the interesting people, then they introduce themselves casually and confidently. maybe a nice compliment, or a semi-personal question that shows they're interested, and interesting conversation. that's all it really takes if the guy is cute

I seem to have this problem quite a lot as well. It seems as though when Im trying that I sound like a putz, but when Im just relaxed not expecting anything of it I totally have game. Its kinda made my social live a little nerve wracking, Ive started to work my way out of the funk a bit but it still gets to me sometimes.

Unfortunately thats kind of a cultural given. I don't know many women that go out of their way to talk to guys, particularly the shy ones that I like. I really don't want to have to wait around for them.

Also, almost all of the sex I have had, and all of my girlfriends were a result of women pursuing me, so once, just once, I want to be the knight in shining armor!

I'd suggest to initiate just a little then back off and wait to see if you get a cue from her (eye contact, smile, etc) then pursue just a little more. don't act needy for pete's sake! have the attitude that she's just as lucky to get with you as you would be to get with her.
