the next european gathering in 2009 will be in ukraine around the july fullmoon. It seems there is a strong family already with a strong vision and the russiam family will help and take part

may heart was really touched by the invitation to the international gathering of love happening in israel, it is a long dreamed vision of the european family to go to israel and IŽm happy that it will be in the desert, february is a beautiful time, below you find the first invitation

We will gather in the desert of Israel.

Starting from new moon 24 of February (full moon- 11 of March) until new moon 25 of March 2009.

Beloved family. We are gathering to share ourselves and our love
to be together at nature, meet, celebrate, grow, work, teach, learn, have fun…
To simply create a space of complete freedom, awareness and responsibility to ourselves, the people and the world around us.
We will gather in Israel. This funny piece of land is physically just another place in this planet.
But at the same time if you look a little bit deeper- this is one of the most strongest & tensioned place on earth.
The vision is to bring the Healing and the Love energy to Israel and to the Middle East just by gathering, sharing and being ourselves.

Another thing, maybe you already heard about it- "Walk About Love" (WAL)
This is a journey for love, fun, unity and peace that will start in Israel at the 10 of March 2009.
People from all over the world will walk together from the south of Israel to the north, along the Israeli national trail (1000 km)
for approximately three month.

WAL is a non profit foundation. The vision was brought by rainbow brothers and sisters, but this is not a rainbow gathering!
The WAL journey will hopefully walk through the rainbow gathering (we will know it for sure after the scouting meeting in Israel…) and everybody will celebrate together!

The day after whoever wants can join the journey or stay at the gathering.

Ukraine will be a crazy place to go if it keeps up with the way that country is going.

Sometimes situations in other countries make one reflect on how much easier they truly have it in their own.

Definitely be at that gathering in spirit!!!

 

a good freind was at the last 1 i think it was in georgiua (the country)during the whole messthere and said it was the most wonderful time of her life
there is nowhere crazy for a gathering, just some places need 1 far worse then others

A rainbow gathering in the Holy Land -- now that's got to be an experience worth the price of traveling halfway around the world.

From the pictures on the Israeli Rainbow Family site, I noticed that Israel rainbows look somehow tidier and more orderly than rainbows in other countries. I guess a few years of national service does even hippies good.

Does anyone have an idea of how it might go down, as in how family are over there? What were previous years like, and who might be travelling? I dont mean for people to say "itll be great", i mean more specific details. I think meat and alcohol are banned right?

I dont know where exsactly you are going to meet ppl, but I am from ukraine and have friends there (i live in greece last 5 years tho), so if anyone needs help or a place to stay in Kiev (capital) or Crimea Island (Black Sea)- just contact me, I ll do my best to provide anyone with any possible help, if needed.

As far as I know there has never been ukrainian gathering. I heard about russian gatherings but in case it is in Ukraine I guess some people will come from neighbouring countries

 

My family is from the Ukraine. That would be awesome to go. I have summers off now. Yay! Maybe I can make this work.

I want to go to this gathering in Urkaine this summer! It sounds like an adventure. I just have no idea how I will get there... I live in Amsterdam at the moment... but I'm sure I'll find a way!

Is Ukraine in the schengen too, or to you need any visas or anything?
