well, say what you want about anime: gay, great, whatever. I love ghost in the shell. The series, the movie ghost in the shell 2.0, all of it. Ive watched the movie a few times, once on dxm (roughly 600 mg). All I remember of that is flashing colors and rainbow type shit. But anyway what do you think about anime?
People who say they hate anime have never actually watched it, or if they have it's been a bad show like pokemon or dragonball z. I like it for a couple reasons, but mainly because it's a good medium for creating elaborate or complex plots. Having lots of episodes gives the creators a lot more time to really develop a good story, rather than having it forced into a 2 hour movie. Like I don't think Ghost in the Shell(I liked it too) would have worked if they had tried to make it a movie. So yeah, I like anime. Hell, my sig's art from Serial Experiments Lain.
they did make a couple movies... ghost in the shell 2.0, and ghost in the shell innocence. There isnt a real ending, open ended like, but I really like the view of the city in 2.0 glowing with connections and skyscrapers, just sick.
anyone that thinks that anime is goofy and shit has only watched a crappy english dub. where americans fubar the dialog to the point where nothing can be taken seriously seriously, subs are where its at
Most anime is not for me. I know there's a difference between good anime and Pokemon for instance, but I already just don't like the typical style in general. Howls moving castle was quite good though, but some elements of the drawing style kept me from loving it as a whole.
i loved DBZ.. Dragon Ball was pretty lame.. didn't watch much GT... i love Heavy Metal.. Sailor Moon was pretty good too.. PS: i have a few Hentai games on my computer :cheers2: .. them japs are obsessed with sex/rape
true, subs are good, but I feel like it doesnt quite translate. The language seems complex, with specific words for ideas/thought or even objects, and it seems to lose some meaning. But yes, much better than dubs
Some anime is really really homo, no doubt But that said, some is really awesome. Like I watched a few episodes of Trigun, and I thought it was pretty badass for the most part. Cowboy Bebop isn't too bad and I've heard GREAT things about Ghost in the Shell Overall though, I'm not a fan, and I'm honestly freaked out by rabid anime obsessors that like dress up and shit, wishing they lived in a fantasy land...weird ass fucks
Seconded. Akira is the only anime I've ever been able to sit through. That shit is amazing. I wanna watch it tripping, though that may be a little intense. haha

Two other short but sweet shows are Elven Lied and Hellsing. Both are short(13 episodes), and pretty easy to get into with lots of violence and decent plots. They're not my favorites, but they're pretty accessible and fun.
I don't enjoy anime as much as I used to but I think that mostly is due to the fact that I just don't have the time. Ghost in the Shell was good. Personally, I can name several series that I really liked for example my personaly favorite is Tri-Gun it is the best. Another good one was Neon Genesis Evangelion. It was good up until the last three episodes then it got beyond weird and was hard to watch but I had to finish the series up.
