1968 Cal 25 sailboat. Basically it's a gutted hull with all the rigging. With a month or three of work and a small investment you could have a fully self-contained liveaboard for two and a blue water cruiser. Spend your summers on the Chesapeake and your winters in the Bahamas. Standing rigging in great shape, though for blue water cruising you might want to upgrade to 1/4" stainless. Full sail inventory to include dacron main, dacron 110% genny and large radial spinnaker. Bilge and battery with solar maintainer. All you have to do is come get it on Bodkin Creek in Pasadena, MD. 10 minutes motor from the upper Chesapeake. I'm moving to the hills of WV and need to dispose of it.
HSB lives on the DE peninsula and is always into canoeing and waterplay. She's also likes challenges and to work on stuff. I pm'ed her.
Ooooooooo Let me let this sink in a bit. I've been wanting to sail down from the top of the chesapeake to Norfolk, that looks a little more comfy than my cozy 19' daysailer. When are you moving Zoomie?
She needs to go by June 1st. The slip is at a friend's private dock, he's not charging me, but she needs to go by then. As a last resort I'll sign her over to the marine salvage in Middle River. Hate to, but...
she would be perfect to cruise down toward Ocala, (next year, of course). notice i say toward, cuz i`m not sure there`d be a route all the way. but one could stand-off a ways from ocala next year w/ a few craft. it`d be a good holding camp.
in some ways i wish i was still in NC, that way i`d be a bit closer. morehead city NC is a pretty good place to stop for awhile.
She's not really suited for the ICW. To get to Central FL you'd have to go 300 miles offshore and grab a trade south. A nice houseboat would get you close to Ocala by the ICW. And you can always pick up a hulk on Craigslist for a couple bucks.
