Have you ever wondered if the lsd experience in nothing more than crack with visual distortions? As if there were no universal connections and all it does it kill so many brain cells that you are just really retarded during your trip? I hope not. I dont believe that at all, but ive heard stuff like that from people and sometimes wonder if any of it is valid
well the first reason to suspect this is not the case, from my experience, is that on lsd, i feel more sober and crisp and sharp than i do when i'm sober! it's Life HD, and Thinking HD
yea, sometimes when i am tripping i can do things so easily. since i started tripping again like 4 months ago i can tell how much my intelligence has increased. i kind of feel dulled out a little bit and like what i am thinking isn't that smart, but when i get around other people i am like 20 levels higher than they are and understand things so much more easily. i wonder how people can be so stupid sometimes. but as to whether the connections are real or imagined, i would say that even if they are imagined then that still makes them as real as anything else. if there is one thing i have learned it is that nothing is more than we make of it, and as long as we perceive something then it is plenty real. but is it the right direction or not? is it the truth or lies? well that is subjective, as subjective as the truths themselves. they will bring us along any path we are supposed to take.
oh man, this may be as truth as the next thing. who know's? either way, it's a very important aspect of the drug and this kind of questionings it's a great sign of you. i mean, in my freaking spanish, that it's important that you ask yourself and others this kind of questions.
I don't suspect this only because the revelations made by persons on LSD are very similar if not directly related to that of most major religions. For examples, Ego Death, Unity of Beings, Love everyone and everything... at least I can say these are definitely true to Hindus, Buddhists, and the Sufi traditions and also let's not forget the connection between these ideas within the philosophical(western) community. also hallucinogens have been used by shaman for ages to gain insight about the world in which they have made similar if not exactly correlating revelations. I say it's no mistake at all and it's definitely not crack+visuals, but I understand the OP as an idea. Keep on working you neo-shaman revelation receiving hipstersarty: I'm proud of you guys!
that is so true. i mean all the things we think are "real" are really jus neurons firing off in a certain way and wat lsd does is make those neurons fire off in a different way. everything we "know" is jus perception.
sometimes, but i feel it even not on lsd, i mean the connectedness. i guess if were all just crazy at least we were the right kind of crazy. if their were truly no purpose to life it wouldn't matter because together we made purpose.
dont get me wrong. i do feel like lsd is amazing but when i did it, i smoked some dank buds too, so maybe that just made me feel fucked up and not as crisp..
That crap is obviously not valid. We know enough about how LSD affects the brain to at least know that for sure. It does not kill brain cells. It turns off the filters. That is, basically, what it does. So you're seeing everything that's "out there" that your brain usually decides is unimportant, and doesn't bother your conscious mind with. Of course, it's you that's having the experience, so it's not objective, but it's about as close as anyone can get. Universal connections aren't woo-woo at all. They're just how things work...
acid has never been anything but wonderful to me and i have walked away from every trip feeling enlightened spiritually and mentally, however, i wont lie, therve been times when ive felt absolutely retarded on acid. its the times i cant stop mumbling to myself and even form an understandable sentance for my life that im like, dam, maybe i shouldve taken one less hit
yea if i smk bud while im on lucy i get all fogged up and lose the crisp thoughts. L reall does make everything clearer its wonderful
Untruth is a condition of life. Every truth is a subjective truth and the relationship between truth and untruth is far more complex than words can tell. (nietzsche)
someone mentioned shamans taking drugs for enlightenment. the BIG difference between then or them & "now" is that they went through preparations for this. HUGE preparations. there`s a difference or can be as it`s possible some individuals "prepare", nowadays, i can`t speak for all. hence the difference noticed when other drugs are used in this case pot. & alcohol can make a big difference too. it`s simply that some have "evolved" if you will, beyond a need for "help" in enlightenment. one can learn a whole lot more w/o help. & sometimes one learns that things can be false. we as a whole aren`t prepared for what it`s really like out "there". it would freak some people permanently. & that would be cruel. i freak some people out sometimes just talking about it. experiencing it is a different matter. & what happens to is that this knowledge becomes permanent. one tends to "hunger" for more. & there are entities who thrive on "newbies".
