I recently did x and the night after I was laying in bed about to go to sleep When I started hearing voices. I knew these voices they were of the friends I rolled with. Can someone tell me what's going on.
I had the same thing happen to me a couple years ago, after rolling all night, and continuing to take more and more pills. Took around 10 over the course of about 12 hours. I blame it on too much Methamphetamine.
Auditory hallucinations are quite common when drifting off to sleep. My guess is that the Ecstasy catalyzed an increase in your awareness, allowing you to maintain a center of wakefulness while you were delving into the deeper stages of sleep that you aren't used to being aware of. Don't worry man, it's normal, and it will go away if you want it to.
Auditory hallucinations are more common with a stronger stimulant, like Methamphetamine. With all the pills that are crappy methbombs now-a-days, it's highly likely he got some pills with Meth, and this is what caused it. I just don't see pure MDMA causing auditory hallucinations like Methamphetamine alone would.
My post didn't have anything to do with drugs. I was simply pointing out that auditory hallucinations are common while going to sleep, drugs aren't even a necessary part of the equation. I'm not going to assume he got shitty pills, and he also specified that his experience occurred the night after he rolled. He didn't make it sound like he was still even high.
Ah, sorry. Didn't read his post correctly, I thought it happened as he was coming down. When it happened to me, it happened as soon as I was coming down, and lasted for about 5 hours. It was extremely scary. Although I haven't heard of auditory hallucinations being a common effect of REM sleep. I've had visual hallucinations while in between being awake and REM, like right on the brink of REM. This is when I had my out of body experiences as well, no drugs were involved, but I never noticed any auditory hallucinations. You think 24 hours after taking MDMA, that his awareness would still be increased? He also didn't state that he was almost asleep, he said he was laying in bed, about to go to sleep. If the cause of this was from being awake during the initial stages of REM, then they would have gone away as soon as he woke himself up out of it.
That's interesting; hearing voices that seem to come from inside the head, and hearing people singing in strange languages are more prevalent. Psychoactive drugs have a prolonged effect on the psyche, IMO. They are capable of causing a shift in consciousness that sustains long after the physical components of the chemicals are processed and disposed of. It's the same reason why so many people refer to a trip on psychedelic drugs as "life-changing".
It was my sense that he meant that he was almost asleep. I could be wrong, but that's just what I got from it.
Either way, if it was caused from being awake during those sleep stages, wouldn't they have gone away, just as visions do, after waking completely up? That is why I was assuming is was caused by the drugs, and didn't think of the REM possibility, but who knows.
sorry for all the confusion. Yea i rolled the night before. off some h bombs. i cant really remember anymore, but i guess things resolved themselves. I do know that i wasnt even close to sleep. i was just sitting there in complete silence and i just kept hearing all these voices. and i would begin to believe that what i was hearing was really going on, until i would snap myself out of it. But it would just keep happeneing. i dont know if it had anything to do with x or if i was just in a sort of paranormal state. thank you bye
the first time I ever rolled I had no inner monologue. I would hear voices for like an hour or so until I realized that I was speaking my thoughts aloud, so the voices I heard was me. Once I realized that it went away.
i'd just try and forget about it, unless it continues when you're sober. then maybe look into some family history and see if anybody has had schizophrenia... drugs can bring out underlying illnesses that may only later surface.. i wouldnt bring it up to your parents like "hey, has anybody in our family had schizophrenia?" cause they might be worried about you hearing voices. maybe just ask if anybody has had any mental illnesses. though, if they were voices you recognized as to that of your friends, and they werent telling you to do shit or saying fucked up shit, i actually wouldnt even connect it to schizophrenia. you were just fucked up.:cheers2:
lol! "h bombs" the classic heroin in e myth even if there was heroin in the pills I'd doubt it would make you hallucinate like that haha
