Will PH adjusted water keep...

    If you mix up a big batch of PH adjusted water, will it stay the same PH over several months or will it fluctuate. It seems much easier to adjust a barrel once than a watering can daily.

    Oh, and it would be covered, so evaporation isn't an issue.

    I imagine it would fluctuate, much like a pool or a hot tub..Best to mix up small batches and add often IMO

    I shucks, there goes that time saver. Maybe I'll experiment with a several day supply.

    it will change because your water is most likely not sterile. bacteria, when growing, will lower the pH. if it is completely sterile, then the pH will never fluctuate. the other alternative is to use a buffer, like carbonate or phosphate. this will keep the water pH relatively stable as long as bacterial growth is not excessive

    You can always give it a shot and test regularly.
