Im watching spanish television..

For the first time in.... 15 months..
Im watching a soap called "la costena y el cachaco" Its a venezuelan novela and its funny as shit..


The original version of Ugly betty will come back on in a few months. If its not on too early, I might watch it again. The american version sucks balls..
I Havent watched spanish tv in forever, much less a soap. But I need to brush up on my spanish more. I need to speak more spanish to Calleigh Ann, my niece, and this will help.

Still cant stand the commercials.

 

Haha, wow soap operas. That's something I cant handle, but they are extremely hilarious.

 

this novela is different. and the accent is hard to understand.
they call things "vaina" and money is "plata".. I know the colombians use these words, and know what they are but its still weird.
I cant stand mexican novelas, with the standard forbidden love, guns and the lead girl spends 3 months crying and whining.
Hahaha how did I know you would be the only one to respond?

My mom watched like 3 novelas every day. When she started working 10 hour shifts, she would make us record em, and if they didnt, she'd get super pissed.
Over a fucking television show! Tres sad.
Haha when I went back to sleep this morning I had a dream in a novela setting. I was at the flea market. lol

 

We call things, "vaina" in DR too, but it's not proper. Everyone does, but you really wouldnt if you are at work, talking to a teacher, things like that.

I dont know, I cant watch a show that is every night, for months and it's full of so much drama, but again I havent watched one in YEARS.

I do like watching them with people who are really into them and make fun of whatever is happening .

 

I used to also make up crazy things, if people missed some of it. I would be like, yeah, he just told her, he is her brother

 

Oh, if you guys think spanish soap operas are bad.. just try watching INDIAN ones!

Those actors are even more hardcore than the Spanish :O And they only seem to have one dramatic expression each, so they keep pulling the same face after each of them say something XD

I love indian soaps...

And they have to do the dramatic music, and the shots of everyones face from each possible angle you might want.
