Hey, "Wax Stick"....it really will do what it says on the pack: give you sticks of wax Actually I was thinking about emailing Dreadworx and seeing if they'd consider ceasing to stock waxes...
no one will ever stop selling wax. to many people are ill informed and believe wax makes dreads. im not a fan of wax in any way, shape or form, but a company wont stop selling a product because a few people with dreads say to stop selling it. they dont care about you or your head, they care about your money. as long as there are people who want wax in their hair, companies will sell wax. and dont hate on KnottyBoy to much. their All Purpose Shampoo Bars are amazing. i bought the variety pack with Patchuli, Spearmint and Fresh Grass. its by far the best soap ive used. 22$ for 3 bars.
I wouldn't have anything against any of these companies if they stopped selling wax and just put their efforts into producing residue free shampoos that are eco friendly. However they're not going to because they're looking to maximise their profits and there are enough people that are either don't know enough about dreadlocks and just stumble across these sites before they find the forums that are spreading the truth. Either that or they aren't willing to sit it out until they grow proper dreadlocks and are just looking for shortcuts and are just purely into it because they're looking for a new "hip" style. I'm growing ever more uneasy about ordering Bronner's from dreadworx because of the other stuff that they sell and therefore support, for that reason I rely evermore on just bicarb and tea tree oil. I have sent an email before to dreadheadhq questioning them about using wax and the possibility of it trapping water and causing mold, they never replyed, I wonder why...
lmfao at wax sticks. i dont hate kbs products, but the way the tell you to use them is fucking retarded. like, i dont have a problem with places selling wax, ik people who use it and if youre not a retard about it, it doesnt wreck your hair. but when they tell you to put a tablespoon of wax into each dread as you make it and then melt it in with a hairdryer.... well anyone who actaully does that is pretty stupid.
I dunno about just stupid, just maybe very naive. I think a lot of people who use their products are pretty young and just are ready to believe whatever they tell them without taking a step backwards and seeking out another opinion. But hmm who know's really.... I'm not sure I do!
it does grate how they make a living off of those unfortunate souls that get trapped by the dreadkit stuff.... i was one, but luckily realised it wasnt working, then stumbled across this forum
looks like deodorant to me i can picture this in my head... someone caking their dreads like they are using deodorant *shivers*
Agreed If it wasn't for this place I would have proper candle sticks! They would have been cut a LONG time ago Thanks *hug* x
