After 18 months of going strictly natural i finally have nice dreadies!! They are still shrinking but i really like them. Natty dreads rule. I havent posted the same pic twice, just thats my new sig aswell.
I backcombed them right at the start but ive not used any chemicals in my hair or anything at all, im really happy with the process, its been a long one. I know people say backcombing means you dont have to go through the whole dreadlock process but i still have.
then they are not all natural. all natural is just letting your hair go.. im 2 years into "all natural" and i assure you you can tell the difference..
yeah, they're not all natural.. but as long as you're happy with them, it's all good. can't wait until they get longer, man
Your dreads look very nice and Im glad your happy with them. But why do you look so sad in the pic? I just wanna give you a hug! =]
haha true that, and because so far this year ive lost my job, my uncle and my girlfriend in one week.......which sucks sooo bad.
Crappo... Hmm, I was trying to come up with a really lame-ass joke somehow where your uncle, gf and job were all the same person...but didn't quite get it to work and felt a bit dumb cracking jokes about the whole thing.... so imagine I just said something hilarious to cheer you up and laugh at it *runs away to be an idiot in private*
Those look backcombed, waxed and heavily crocheted. They don't look natural at all. But if your happy with them.
They don't look waxy to me, certainly not "natural" and they look like they've been crotcheted to me, but that's not really important to any of us. As long as he's happy with them that's all that matters. @ yumyum2k5, they look fine, albeit a little crotcheted for my taste. I'm not saying you did they just look a little like it to me. If you have been crotchetting them I'd stop doing it if I were you it's really not necessary. Give them a year or so more and a chance to get a little longer and they'll be awesome.
They just have that unnatural look, that is usually associated with wax. Even though the OP says he didn't use wax, which may be true, he also said he grew these naturally, which is obviously false. They WERE crocheted. Only the OP knows how he got his dreads, but he should just tell the truth. People here won't care that much about how he got them.
I can practically see the sadness in your eyes. I send my sympathy to you for the week... And well, I don't care if they're "naturally" made or not, you didn't use any chemicals which is the good part! They look beautiful.
