dont comb your hair for as long as possible.
every now and then , separate the forming locks to make sure they dont become one big dreadlock.
    keep your hair clean.

    simple really... want them
hell you dont even gotta want them and they happen if u dont prevent them
stop preventing dreads and they happen
ok. wax is eveil, if u wax your going to regret it and possibly lose your dreads
    do not wax
palm rolling, lil bit cant hurt, lot can break off dreads you dont need to do any at all

now the fulltruth on dreading, if you go natural you'll have the most satisfying exoperience but can take lil longer then other ways but can happen quick too depending on your hair
color of skin dont matter..for anything why should it matter for dreads

but back to methiods ..natural..throw away your comb, wash with natural non residue soap
seperate em so they dont form 1 dread
    simplicity
be patient, dreads may appear in a week, but more likely in a few months..mayu take uop to a year or 2 to maTURE BUT THEN THE JOURNEY WHEN YOU REACH THAT DESTINATIONS ONE TO BE PROUD OF

    OTHER METHODS
    BACKCOMBING
COMB THE HAIR BACKWARDS TOWARDS THE SCALP, CAN BE HOURS AND HOURS OF PAIN AND DOES ALOT OF DAMMAGE, ONLY DO IT ONCE EVEN IF IT FALLS APART COMPLETELY
    DONT USE ELASTICS OR WAX
ONCE BACKCOMBED ALLOW NATURAL PROCESS TO TAKE OVER

    TWIST N RIP
TWIST SECTIONS THEN PULL A FEW HAIRES TIWARDS SCALP REPEAT
    THEN FOLLOWE NATURAL
(ALL DREADING IS A NATURAL PROCESS, SOME JUST PREFFER TO START IT WITH UNATURAL MEANS..ADDICTION TO DOING SOMETHING TO GAIN RESULTS I BELIEVE, THE URGE TO COMB STYLE ANBD FORCE YOUR WILL OVER THE WILL OF THE HAIR IS HARD TO BEEAK AWAY FROM)

crochetting, i do not recommend this at all but just for the completeness ill inmclude it
this is taking a small metal hook poking holes thriouygh the dread to puyll loose haires through
every hole breaks hairs weakening the dread and creating more loose ends to find theyre way out requiring more holes to pull them back in breaking more hairs, it becomes a never ending need to always crochet to repair the dammage caused by crochetting
many who start findf themselves doing it weekly for years and years
after a number of years the dreads perforated and significantly weaker

I think it's cute that you wrote a little poem.
    I actually like it.
How you used untangled and locked to match with the whole dread thing.

    Dunno if that was intentional...
But hell this isn't about poetry.

wow...yeah...thats intense. dreads are about letting go man! stop being so mental about it, stop brushing your hair, wash with a residue free shampoo once a week, and voila...in a couple of months you'll have dreads! Or, if your as white as I am...you can backcomb to get them started. I went natural for 3 months...and my hair did nothing...so I backcombed once and now theyre making wonderful progress! So....just chillax and enjoy the ride! =]

haha....Ive been experimenting over the 4 months. Yeah I backcombed a few after 1 month, but not all the way and they slipped out. So then after a couple weeks I backcombed some more...but again not all the way and they slipped out...so then I said F it and backcombed half my head ALL the way, and those finally stayed...well not all of them. The ones in the back slipped...but the ones that slipped in the back have been sectioned and sticking together, just not knotting. Its weird. So...almost half my head is backcombed and each one is at a different stage for they were all backcombed at different times....and then some are just sectioned but refusing so far to knot together in eternal happiness. Ive given up on the backcombing though...too much work and false hopes! =]

Dude keep up the gangster talk it's cracking me up, I can barely understand you at all! Don't be offended it's all good. Look, loose hair is all part of having dreads you need to learn to embrace the loose hair it's not really worth bothering about. Sure if you really want to it's your hair, you can crotchet the hell out of your hair, thread all the loose hair back into the roots, but to be honest I really wouldn't bother. The more you do it the more unhappy you'll be if there's some hairs sticking out and the more noticeable it'll be to you. If you have a head full of loose hair it all fits together and doesn't look bad in any way at all. It's all part of dreads in my opinion. Oh and screw lock pepper it sucks balls. If you really want to keep the loose hair down to a minimum use sea salt and wear a wool hat/tam from time to time. Good luck

nully ~ Just stop comb'ng, wash as needed, separate when the locks seem too wide for your tastes... and you'll be all good.
