Nothing wrong with France.Among a few things, they have one of the best medical systems in the world, citizens don't pay for great care. They have a maximum of a 35 hour workweek, high standard of living.Maybe America can learn a little from France or the rest of western Europe for that matter.
Any country that has "free" health care, the people still pay for it big time. Why do you think our taxes are so high here. Sweden and Denmark have the highest taxes in the world. Good health care, but they pay a ton in taxes.
Which is worse, being dead or paying higher taxes. Being dead is the only option a lot of Americans have. Yeah France. We got enough of our own problems w/o wagging our fingers at France. Besides, insurance cost us $3000 to $6000 a year - could the taxes be any more than that?
I'm not complaining about paying high taxes. It's just here in Canada any of our governments do a crap job at managing the money. And our health care system is a mess right now. I live in a border region, and there are quite a few people who opt to go to Buffalo to get treated. My only complaint is the term "free health care". It's not really free.
At least in Western European nations and a number of other countries you actually get something(alot) for your taxes. So you wind up spending alot less in the long run.In the US you get virtually nothing.--Sorry Canada but the French have a much better healthcare system than yours.
The majority of Europe has a better health care system. I don't at all deny that. Only delusional Canadians think ours is at the top.
Very true greenryder, the majority of Europe has excellent healthcare and France ranks among the top in Europe. You know the US system was not too bad until the insurance and drug companies were allowed to help ruin it.The Europeans are 'now' SO much smarter and way ahead of the US in so many ways.Heck so are so many countries nowadays.
