I get Sundance and IFC channels and indie movies are so much better! They provoke more emotion in me when i'm watching them, and they don't have to have all the lame typical hollywood stuff. I love Indie movies, they are so well made too.

I didn't know Sundance had a channel. IFC my fav too-- movies should be art, not just brain-sucking mindless entertainment. I live in Utah, so if you're coming out for the festival January, I can hook you up.

Tiger I so wish I could go to the actual events; if I were 21 again I wouldn't miss it, but the poor family life keeps me to just visiting Park City, which is a beautiful little town, walking the streets and star-searching. I hear the parties are hot and the movies are more like going to a Broadway show. A lot of really great movies come out of this festival, and being in Utah then they show them at the dollar theater the next fall, right now I can go see Napolean Dynamite for a couple bucks, instead of the hundred bucks (including babysitting, travelling, etc.) it would cost to see it at Sundance.

I used to have IFC, and I wanted Sundance. Now I don't have either and I desperately miss the good movies.

I rented this movie, but I have definately seen it on Sundance before.

    Scotland, PA

It is an adaptation of Macbeth and it is a fantastic dark comedy. It has several hilarious scenes, but also several scenes that go deep into the disturbing lives of small-town people. I recommend it to everyone.

P.S. It is the only time that I have ever liked Andy Dick (he has a small part)

"Thank god you're here, someone just hit me on the head!"

    has anyone else seen this?

tons of great movies are indie, but these are definently top three:
    American History X
    Pulp Fiction
    Clerks
    Trainspoting
    well, that's four
but if you watch IFC or Sundance alot look for CQ. It is very original and interesting
