I've tripped probably 7 - 10 times on acid. I'm tripping tonight on mushis and I gotta say - where acid is really scary at night, mushis for me are really nice.. I feel great! But I really can't put my finger on how what I'm feeling right now is different from a low dose of acid... guys? It feels really similar... how is it different?
it is only slightly different in effect. the "feeling" is distinct, but everybody seems to characterize the difference in their own manner, and often people's descriptions are conflicting with the descriptions of others. in general, the effects are virtually identical, with only minor differences that nobody can reliably pin down. the major difference in effect is that acid will last 9-12 hours while mushrooms will last 5-7 hours.
Increase your dosage brah The comeup for LSD and mushrooms is 99% IDENTICAL to me, it's actually freaking WEIRD how identical it is. As you shift from the comeup to the plateau some novel effects are noticed like strange muscular sensations and the shivers of pleasure have a slightly different character to them but the true beauty and power and uniqueness of shrooms is in the stupendously strange peak, and you either go there or you don't. my first time shrooming i didn't get there on 4g + st johns wort, and i just had a few hours of a pleasing a fun lsd-like come up. my second trip i did 2.5g alone and i got there . . . whoa mama. you're not in acid land anymore.
For reals. I think that the emphasis on chaos vs. order is a little different between the two. Acid is like chaotic, crisp, shimmering order. Mushrooms are like divinely ordered chaos. It is a very subtle difference. Kind of how sometimes there's only a subtle difference between your heart soaring from beauty, and your heart breaking from beauty. It makes a world of difference, but it's hard to pin it down.
Shrooms make me feel really happy, where acid usually fucks with my mind. Dont get me wrong both of them are awesome. But it seems to me that acid tends to take me farther out of my head than the shrooms.....maybe i haven't had very good caps, cause ive never taken less than 3.5 gs
Damn! No come down at all. I woke up this morning and went to work... it was a hard, hard day but I managed perfectly... after acid I've always felt quite scatty, but today I've felt completely normal. I'm certainly going to have to find some more and see what a strong dose is like.
