My first question is that I germinated my seeds and planted the ones that sprouted in a plastic cup of dirt, each plant with its own cup. About a day after I planted them a few have little white stems coming up. Does this mean i planted them too shallow (since they're white, not green) and I hould put a bit more dirt on them or should i just let them grow? My other question is that if I dont put them under any special lights and leave them to natural light will they not grow to maturity? I dont have any special equipment and I'ld rather they just stay small because I have no place to hide a huge plant. My dad may let me keep them if he knows im not growing them to smoke from... Mainly right now im just growing to get a good desk plant and some experience for when i have the money/space to grow for real.
They cannot, and will not mature with out proper light. Leaving them as a "desk" plant is just going to waste the potential of that plant, because it will die off sooner or later unless it gets adequate light. Go out and buy yourself a cheap flouro from walmart, and have fun. But that will only work for vegetive state, if you get that far you'll find out what to do soon.....
I tried growing plants with natural light indoors and I failed miserably so take perry winks advice get a flouro or at home depot they have reasonably price grow blubs for flouro...at any rate good luck.
My dilema is that I really have no place to let them mature. Damn things grow fast too... about two and a half to three inches now with leaves starting to grow. I'm gonna have to replant them soon into something bigger... I'll drop by Home Depot soon and see what they got for lights. Thanks for the advice.
