ok i have about 50 bagseeds and i wanna try and grow them i live in texas so its good growing year-round. im going to plant them outside and then just leave them alone for a while and check back occasionally. i dont know a damn thing about growing so cna i get a few pointers. my friend said something about germination...how do i do that? any tips are appreciated!
I'm trying to germinate by putting some seeds in a wet paper towel in a baggy taped to my window. I've heard from a reliable friend that its worked for her brother. Not working for me though because my window is pretty cold and the weather decided to rain more than be sunny so far... But I would germinate like that then grow em indoors a bit so that when you plant them outside the plants/seeds wont get wrecked by animals. Just my inexperienced advice, though, as I've never triesd growing till now.
Soak seeds in a glass of distilled water overnite and place in moist paper towels keeping moist(distilled water) but not saturated.Place on a heat source like top of water heater or frig and they should germ in 1-7 days depending on viability of the seeds. Then place in soil at the depth of1/8-1/4 inch with the tap root down.peace
I just put the seeds in some good organic soil and they all grew. I also brought some good seeds and I let them soak for 6 hours in distilled water and planted them in organic soil and they also germinated. It depends on how old the seeds are if they are older than 5 years old you have about a 45% chance of germination....good luck hope the info helps.
