this is pretty much aimed at newrad, although i'm sure other people out there could answer this. so my utorrent says, "DHT:Waiting to Log In" and "DHT:0 nodes." now, apparently this is a common thing, or it seemed that way when i searched for it. however, what was also common when i searched is that apparently unless you wrote the fucking utorrent program, it is complicated to fix. now, that last comment is drenched in exaggeration and sarcasm to prove my point. i don't know how to fix this problem, and this problem leaves me with the inability to download music. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. le help?
Actually, there is. BitTorrent, Frostwire (fuck Limewire), eMule, Azureus, BitComet, BitTornado, G3 Torrent, ABC, aMule, Cabos, Clickster, Kazaa (if it's still running - although I think it lets viruses through), FileCroc, Gnucleus,... Doesn't look like you know much about p2p file sharing applications/torrent clients..
To all Limewire fans - what are you doing? Download - http://www.frostwire.com/ - you can thank me later.. Same user interface, quicker transfer rates and takes up a fraction of the hard drive space that Limewire does. Loads up quicker, connects quicker, runs well alongside other open applications. Really - you'd be foolish not to.
oh, come off it. uninstalling limewire and replacing it with frostwire is one of the simplest, quickest, effortless things you can do on a computer. frostwire looks almost identical to limewire; and your library will still be there. it's your loss!
I just lost my limewire library.... Son of a fucking bitch EDIT: This program is shite i cant even find popular songs
Yeah your shared folder should be the same from limewire to frostwire Seems like you have a dht problem horace. Make sure UDP traffic is allowed and not blocked by a firewall. Also you could set up a new rule to allow all traffic on the utorrent port access. If that doesn't work I would try reinstalling, or get a new program
Yeah. What is happening is that either your firewall is blocking oncoming connections or your router is blocking them. If you don't already have one, set up an exception for uTorrent on your firewall. If that still doesn't work, you're going to have to forward some ports. Just go to google and type in "uTorrent Port Forwarding' for more information on that.
Well it said i should uninstal limewire so i let it do it for me... It deleted everything including my library
i never got this problem when i finally switched; and i recommended because it was the best thing i've ever done (regarding p2p downloads) and there's a lot of benefits. but - i don't use p2p file sharing applications anymore. torrent clients are the cream of the crop; to hell with downloading single songs!!!
agreed - specially when you've got like 25 seeds in your peer list, each with a fairly decent connection speed... i got a movie coming in at 517kb/sec last night!
well aren't you wise. because i really think that the internet only has one of everything. although you're half right, since it "doesn't look like know much about" FIXING "p2p file sharing applications/torrent clients." hence the sarcasm before, during, and after. and just so i'm clear i'll throw in some more of these:
