They are a major part of the festie scene, and I was wondering if anyone had worked a paid staff position? I applied yesterday, and was wanting some info on how it is. Feel free to move this drummin if it isnt appropriate.
It's good. I'm interested in the possible answers. Good luck. I'm applying for a full time music production gig myself. No more newspaper, only freelance and my true newsblog at last!
Thats awesome! Good luck with it! If I have any luck or writing skills I might get to meet some HF members at festies all over the US.
Hey! I work for clean vibes and it's a great way to be involved in the festival world over the summer! Whether you are staff or you volunteer it's good times. I can answer any questions for you, just shoot me an email! Thanks! Becky
I would caution ANYONE to make sure a new member, with so few posts, is legit. Also, be as professional as possible, as I have known HR people to make similar posts to get unguarded comments prior to or just after an interview.
I'm thinkin about maybe tryin to get a job for FesTaxi at 10,000 lakes this year.. that seems like such a lax job.. drivin people around on golf carts all day and night and gettin tons of shit for tips....
Another Clean Viber... I LOVE cleanvibes they are a great company I have worked for them at bonnaroo in 06 and langarado in 07 and I just got back from volunteering with them at langarado this year. the best part of the job is the ground scores... you can find anything from lighters (dozens of them) to cars mp3 players or treats left for the clean up crew. I highly suggest that you check them out. I am going to be a clean viber for life! Jon V
I've worked with CleanVibes doing volunteer at Bonnaroo and I must say, they treat their own with more class and respect than anywhere I've ever worked. They provided us with amazing, dank ass food for the duration of our shifts, and we got to work with many like-minded individuals. The main drawback to working post-festival is how hungover everyone is. Especially at a festival like Bonnaroo.
I vonlunteered for cleanvibes at Langerado this year... I worked post festival just picking up trash and what not. I personally did not like the attitude from the cleanvibes paid staff (they lead by dictation and not by example... poor leadership qualities) but overall I would do it again. I only had to pay 10 bucks and clean up for 2 days after the festival to get into langerado... so worth it. edit: you get as much water as you need while on shift and 3 meals a day... so thats another plus
Are there any clean vibers signing up this year? I was accepted as a volunteer but I don't see Bonnaroo available to sign up for. Should it be available now?
I actually just sent in my application the other day. I have a friend, who has a friend that's been working with clean vibes for the past 5 years. I'm hoping to get in with the crew. If I do, I think it'll be the summer of my life, as I have nothing currently holding me down and can do whatever I choose. I also figure doing this will help me to meet other traveling type people.
yeah! I just sent in my application with the hopes of being able to devote my entire summer to this and meet people that just want to travel around as well. I was wondering if anyone knew the specifics of how this operates? I understand what you would do on the job, but is it common that you get hired for all of the festivals, or just a few? Does anyone know if there is training before hand? just trying to get a handle on it... either way it sounds fucking incredible!haha
