i love loose hairs and wispy ends. mine are over 2 years and i still have both. in fact a lot of my loose hairs have started to make dreads...just be patient. yours are only 4 days and it'll be at least a year, before they start really locking up. in addition, you will always have some undreaded root. your hair needs that room to be able to move around and lock. it's normal for your hair to unravel and then tangle up again.
Dude seriously, relax it's only been four days! It'll get loose before they lock, gotta have some patience that's all. Just hang in there and eventually you'll be rewarded
Yeah seriously...the four-day mark is definitely not the time to start stressing about these things. It's all good One thing I found that helped when I was worried my dreads were just gonna fall out was to try and actually comb one out. Now, it's not gonna be all that hard at 4 days, but it should be hard enough to un-do them to assure you they aren't gonna die just like that. So CHILL!
yeah, loose hair is not uncommon at all, i have loose hair and it bothers the hell out of me too but i deal with it.
I'm currently three weeks into my journey (and it is a journey) and some of mine have come out completely, my hair is curling all over the place... roots? what roots..? But im happy... dreads take time.. forget the mirror, don't worry about them. How long do you intend on having 'dreads' for?
Even the best locks you see in pictures all have loose hairs. You just have to be patient with the hair and it'll do it's thing.
the way you write entertains me so very much... what exactly is written in the graffiti-tag thing on the wall behind you? I've learned that patience is key in this whole dreadlocking process... especially if you have short dreads, those suckers are gonna fall out in the shower. Watch your water pressure, I guess?
i am glad u injoy it bc i du lol and my wall say triple-c which iz a tag i did for my church - coastal cathedral church of God and ima wear a knee hi pantie house or wat ev win i wash my hair to hold it together or i just might hold up a 7-11 while ive got it on my head might iz well make it a pay off alround lol jk
geez whatttttttttt does taht all mean man? I'm drunk though, this looks like gsbdfanjodjhfbnl to moi^-^
I found I couldn't get knee high's over my head... Got some tights.. 2 pairs... looked danged good on my gal.. Wore them for three nights... Then set them free Props on the tag for your church. How have your dreads gone down there?
dude i've had my dreads for almost two years and i still have alot of loose hairs. you gotta just let em be.
yeah its ruff ta get it on so ima look for sumin else like tights or sumin for em thnx on tha props ima b doin sum more stuff for em i show em to ya win i get it done
you can grab a dread and the loose hairs next to it and root rub just a bit in both directions. Like 5 turns in one way 5 in the other. Just dont over do it, i got obssesed once and wanted to do it like everyday lol. Not good.
Having lots of differently coloured bits of hair has been quite useful for showing my dreads' progress. Some short whispy hairs in my natural hair colour, which were sticking out all over the place, have somehow neatly stuck themselves down the sides of some of my pink dreads. They don't even look knotted, but I guess they must be. They're stuck there somehow anyway. So yeah...it all comes together in the end, so don't stress too much
