Ever hear of the Flobots? They do some awesome political hip-hop. I hate most mainstream rap and hip-hop. But they are not mainstream and its unlike any other hip hop artist I've ever heard... its awesome.
yeah theres this station aroend here that playes "handlebars" all the time. i downloaded some more of it to see what its like and i have to say it is very smooth and relaxing flow and its chill.. but someone at work told me that he thinks it might be marshall mathers in cognito.....
The Flobots are AWESOME. They are from the town I live in. 100% one of the most important and talented and intelligent up and coming bands. They are very progressive and give back to the community in so many ways. They play free shows at the Library(how cool is that?), they hold voter registration drives, and they stand up for good causes. I've seen them twice and will see them many more times. The live show is amazing. No, they are not Marshall Mathers. There are two MC's, and a full band with a viola. Crazy.
i like them. i like the fact that the dude can ride his bike with no handle bars. i wish i could do that...
I saw them a couple weeks ago in Santa Barbara and really liked them. The violinist really sets them apart. ahimsa-The Flobots are not from Ventura. I know that for sure because I'm in Ventura. Where are you really?
The FloBots are from Denver. We got a three night run at New Years (warning on these: the shows are cookie cutter down to stage prattle).
that violinist is actually a Violist But they're from Denver and I'm from Denver so I love them twice as much just because of that
