I've been having quite a few odd dreams lately here are two that really stand out.

1.) I'm in this huge field, the weather is slightly windy and the sky is a shade of yellow mixed with grey. Almost like it just rained or is going to rain. Then I see this man and start to run, he comes after me. A few minutes later the man catches up and knocks me down to the ground. He says a few words then I get out from under him and bolt over to this white house. I run into the living room and tell two ladies what happened. The two ladies flip out about what I told them and run off somewhere. So then I walk out to the back porch and see a filming crew in the yard. A man with a black cap on puts his hand on my back and tells me good job. And then I woke up.

2.) For some reason I'm back with Alex (My ex) and the rents and I are going to see a movie so Alex tags along. We are all in the theater waiting for the movie to start. I tap my Mom on the shoulder and tell her I need to go get something. I'm in the parking lot and then start walking off to Charlotte. Again the weather is the same as it was in the first dream. After a few hours of walking I am finally in Charlotte. I stumble upon this house and go in, a strange lady spots me and then gives me a hug. We talk about pottery and making jewelry. Then she shows me old photos of her when she was a pin-up model. The lady gets up and gives me a little bag of thread or something, I hug her and leave. So I'm walking back to the theater but this time things aren't so peaceful and calm. For some reason everyone is out to get me and Alex is trying to chase me down. So I'm hiding from all of these people trying to get back to the theater. Then I find myself in my neighborhood, I walk to my house and then wake up.

Pretty trippy huh? I wonder what it means... or if it means anything.

    Hi sweetheart,
Let's take them one at a time. They do in fact, have main ideas in common.

    1) In the first sequence, the context is the approach of a storm. The dream is trying to literally indicate "something's a-brewin'"; there is an approach of new psyche material in your life. The man who tries to subdue you is another manifestation of this new and different material. The presence is often portrayed as a dark or faceless figure, symbolizing the ambiguity and unfamiliarity you feel with it thus far. It is also a person of the opposite sex, symbolizing both its otherness and foretelling the coming of a union. (I want to stress it doesn't necessarily mean some new love affair is coming into your life, but rather you will experience a marriage to new, higher perspectives.) You see this occurrence as a sort of rape and unwelcome connection, though. Go over your own thoughts and access your ability to humbly accept life's changes.

The white house is an internal snapshot of yourself. First you tell us it is white: do you see yourself as perfect, true and whole, as you are now? The color white often indicates these sentiments. Inside the house, the two women indicate some dominance of your internal goings-on, as if you possess a lot of internal, "feminine" energy clout that opposes the "man" energy we saw previously.

Back yards often hold old powers, talents, and abilities we have always had but bury and forget. The back yard generally comes up in dreams with a touch of irony, that these abilities have always been close, no matter how far we feel from them or how long ago we forgot them. The film crew complimenting you at the end essentially mean this: you have the extraordinairy ability to embrace change and sweep out the old, outdated attitudes -- a commentary on chasing out the two old lies instead of letting them cling, under a guise of white virtue and vicious internal chatter -- and preparing for the new. You literally have the ability to "play your role well". It is the role of God and Providence to support you and give you what you need to grow; it is your role to accept these spiritual gifts and turn them into your own gold.

No matter how much you believe you cannot, you do possess the unique ability to embrace blessing. Not everyone can do that; and as a professional dream interpreter, you can take my word for it.

    2) The beginning sequence shows you in the fold of the old, familiar, and perhaps outdated, by showing you in the crowd of your parents and ex. The movie setting has to do again with your role, but the symbol is also linked to vision of "upcoming attractions" (yes, the future) and how they interact with internal dialogue. The dream gets to work on portraying this in the following outdoor sequences.
As before, we see "something's a-brewin", the coming of new psyche material. The walking shows the path you are to follow, step by step, and eventually you meet up with your own future potential (the old woman). The jewelry is symbolic of your own worth and immense value; if you are a jewelry maker, pull out of the sequence your own personal symbols as well. The old photos she shows you of herself as the pin-up model are another rendition of your outstanding beauty and effortless control of your own body and image. The gift of thread means you need to weave and spin your own destiny, but keep a string of dialogue with the eternal to stay on course.

The final sequence of trying to outwit the outdated (symbolized by Alex and the people), foretells the unfortunate lack of support for the new path your life must take, from certain familiar foundations you have relied on regularly. But you do "find yourself" in a place of comfort (your neighborhood), and can still "come into" your own place (your house).

    Best of luck!
