i love the dollar store for kids stuff.

flashcards, workbooks, coloring books, crayons, soap, etc. it's awesome. you find such awesome deals on busywork distractions. i love it!

 

I spotted huge packets of playdough with the cutters, rollers and stuff in a poundshop here the other day. Theyve got loads of stuff. We use em for pet stuff too

 

the dollar store never ceases to amaze me.

 

We have a dollar tree here, and I LOVE it. Some of the toys don't last very long in our house, but the coloring books and markers are a big hit. We have a reward system in our house where if the kids are good all day they get a sticker on their calenders. They get 3 chances everyday....3 X's on the calender( for being bad) means no sticker. At the end of the week they each get a dollar if they have all 7 stickers, we pro-rate it for every sticker that they're missing. I give them a choice to either get a dollar tree toy at the end of the week, or save their money and get a bigger and better toy when they have enough money. My two have saved their money for 3 months now to get a more expensive toy. I'm so proud of them.

I still LOVE my dollar stores though. They have a lot of good "stocking stuffer" things too.

all kids should learn to love Chinese formaldehyde poisoned toys..

 

a coloring book isn't poisoned, the one thing in the whole store...

 

Why does the dollar store smell like moth balls all the time..

 

it's the old women that work there.
