Remember when you could only get Coors in the western states? Remember when you traveled out west you would bring back a case of Coors? Remember when everyone would come flocking to you when they found out you had Coors? Remember how disappointed they were when they tried it and it tasted like light beer? [IMG]

I guess I'm a bit young for that.

Reminds me of Smokey and the Bandit. Isn't that what they were smuggling from Texas to Georgia?

I remember my brother driving from Rolla MO with his frat brothers to Texas to buy Coors. It was on one of those runs he met his wife!

Funny I live in Missouri and have been to St. Louis millions of times but the only brewery I have ever toured was Coors in Golden Colorado.

I actually lived in Colorado back then, so I remember it, although I was just a kid. I also remember that every employee at the brewery got free beer every week and every day at lunch! My cousin works for Coors still, but they don't give out free beer anymore-too much liability. I finally went on the tour about 7 years ago when I was visiting Colo.

Yes, I remember the mystique and the disappointment when I finally had one. It was my first and last Coors.

The mystique was that Coors was the best because it was not pastuerized, thus illegal for sale in the east..
