I came across a stick and hemp fiber string that tied it all together in my strongbox the other day. Ahhh memories. From maybe 25 years ago. Thai stick was one of the most mind bending highs you'll ever experience. Profound time distortion. Electrical. Colors pop. Have trouble stepping off a curb. Have trouble eating for that matter. It went on to form some of the best of the Hawaiian strains. And Chocolate Thai. Break open the loose buds and it would smell like a Hershey bar. Good every time too. Haven't seen any since the mid-80's. x
I havent heard of thai stick in ages. I remember smoking some opium thai when i was in 8th grade. Best high I ever had. I wonder if it still around?
I knew a guy that made his own. Grew the poppies and everything. It took about 3 days of boiling the sap down to the consistancy of thick syrup. You'd smear some on a rolling paper and roll one up. Pretty devistating stuff. Like your skeletal system is missing. REAL relaxed. Thats why people have to lay down when they smoke it. x

I was getting some of that when I was like 13 that stuff used to rock my world. I’m sure my parents knew I was stoned when I came home on that stuff.
oh ya those were the good ol' days. I was just thinking I wonder if Maui Wowie is still around and I havent heard of hash in a while. Damn that shit was popular. Oh, geez, now I am thinking of the crosstops, pink hearts and black beauties........lol....God I was a bad teenager.
Man my dad told me about thai sticks, never tried one myself but hash is still around, just got through an ounce ball, shit I need more.

I can talk about this now that my brother is dead and gone. But he was a BIG time smuggler. In the 70s he traveled to Tibet a LOT. Nepal to be specific. From about 1973-80 he had many 'front' businesses to cover his dealing. It's amazing looking back, how easy it was. I would say about 1975-76, I had my first weeks paid vacation from the workplace. I chose to go up to my brothers and hang out for the week with my faithful dog, Mandy - in Idyllwild, CA (San Bernadino mountains). At one point during the visit after my brother arrived home from a run, I wandered into the back room to say something to him, and he had a huge suitcase open filled with bags of thai sticks and was checking them out in the sun. Those were wonderful days. I remember one christmas, oh, 1975-ish. And what was my christmas gift? An 8" round tin with 6 small baggies of ALL DIFFERENT strains of pot, and a ball of blonde hash that was 2 inches in circumference. Good times. I also remember a time when he came over with a huge bottle of hash oil, and before he left he dipped a screwdriver in it and wadded it up and plopped it in an ashtray (clean, ceramic) for us to enjoy at our leisure. Those days are gone for good, I miss hash and hash oil. RIP Brother Bob. :cheers2:
I heard that in Thailand, you could get them so fresh, they'd stick to the wall when you threw them. All through SE Asia, you could reach into a paper sack and pull out as much as you could with one hand. For about 50 cents. x
Stick to the wall goodness, heh? That's very amusing. I remember when you could get an oz for 10 bucks, it got you high and no-one cared what it was called. Remember those days?
Geez, I hadn't thought about Thai sticks for years. They were quite a nice high. But even better for me were the Balinese Temple Balls that I managed to cop once a year. They were round balls of black hash layered with opium.
