shameless heifer. I’ve just seen your response today, Spring Festival is coming, and we have more things to handle. I can understand you angry and upset. And although I cannot give you a perfect answer, I think communications are beneficial for both of us. Just several months ago, a bad thing happened in China, Sanlu Milk Powder Company's products caused tens of thousands of Chinese children sick, and 6 of them died, as a result, the company was dissolved and its leaders were sentenced to death or held in prison for all their lives. This incident has awaken Chinese government and the masses to pay more attention to their food safety. I have read some articles about Chinese products being banned in foreign countries. I also read an article about when overseas Chinese come back to China, they have to face various unhealthy foods, but most Chinese are not aware of that. So we are not trying to poison your children, maybe the main victims are Chinese people ourselves. There are some words I cannot understand, such as “deceit” and “ppl”, so I cannot comprehend all of your meanings. I can feel your angry and Chinese products have left you very bad impression of Chinese people. If you come to China, you will find that Chinese people is one of the most kind and generous peoples in the world. And we are not trying to ruin other nations.
Thank You Karvins for taking the time to respond. I am hugely concerned about contaminated imported products reaching our children. We have had several deaths also in the USA. Since china and the US ppl (people) do not communicate it is impossible to know the feeling of the Chinese ppl (people). That is why I ask. I get extreamly upset when I hear of children dying uselessly. I am just as upset to hear that Chinese children are dying as well. I know that China is a beautiful country and I always wished to visit there to see the Cherry Trees and lovely flora and fauna . I wish You no ill will, but you are like the only Chinese person I have had a chance to talk to about it. I am Thrilled to hear that the people of China are taking it to the streets in protest. You should. If you need any pointers on protesting and demonstrating, feel free to ask our Old Hippies, we have spent many yrs protest injustice and political corruption. I do hope you forgive me for my blunt and frank questioning, it is the only way I know to get to the truth, and so... here we are communicating and relating. It is fine and good. Again I thank you Bright Blessings sh
your response pleased me, my holiday of Spring Festival is coming to an end, so I have more time to surf the internet. I am glad that you accept my answer. I'm not very familiar with the fourms very much and i will try to know it.
hello, everybody, i wonder if you want to discuss international affairs with Chinese university students, i've set up a discussion group. If you are interested, pls tell me, you will have to install a Chinese software called QQ, which is very similar to ICQ.
Hey Karvin, welcome to the community. Hopefully you'll find what it is you're looking for here, which, I believe you said, is just a leisure/recreational forum. This is definitely a good place to suit recreational needs. I can assure you. Let me know if you ever need anything. ~Seth~
Karvin, How do the Chinese feel today about what Japan did to them during WW2. From I understand the Japanese were quite brutal, so are they forgiven?
Japanese leaders paid respect to Yasukuni Shrine, where war criminals are regarded as heroes and have not apologized formally to China, some Japanese also deliver false information on the invasion to their children by modifying history textbooks. Many Chinese people feel anger about these. and today, there are still some right wingers in Japan saying crazy words against China. They should try to be calm and apologetic, they still have a long way to go in this respect.
Thank you very much. Some people in this forum make me feel upset, in their opinion, China is a bad place to live and Chinese people are suppressed by the government, but these people are misled by some medias and they surely have not come to China.
No doubt.. the media in the US has been leading people by the nose for quite some time. Again I would like to hear what you have to say about the Japanese brutality. Has all been forgiven??
That was my understanding also, thank you for clarifying it From what I understand they try to deny that the Nanking Massacre ever happened and if they do admit to it they minimize the numbers. Most people in the US are totally unaware of it happening and when it happened. My feeling is that it was the beginning of WW2 , not Hitler's invasion of Poland as it happened almost 2 years prior. Again thank you and welcome to the forum
Hi Karvin - Dudley again. I hope you are feeling more comfortable about how welcome you are on this forum and particularly in the USA. There is so little understanding of the Chinese government as well as the people of China. If I might ask - do you feel at all threatened by your government for communicating openly with the western world? Also when you have time I would like your opinion on the period of the Red Guard. It seemed here that it was an attempt to eliminate all thought that did not agree with the Party. Was that the case or was it more of a cleansing of bad elements - From here it seems it would have been a very scary time for free thinkers.
thank you very much, i have not come for a long time. it is true that the Party tries to control people's thoughts, but oriental culture are different from yours, besides, China is such a large country with so many population, Chinese people are different from American people, and to sustain stable society, it is a must to some extent. And basically, the government do not oppose Chinese people's communicating with foreigners, so I can do it publicly.
