Jim Morrison, Roger Daltrey and the microphone swing

    Both Morrison and Daltrey swung the microphone around during concerts. Daltrey had it mastered while Morrison really didn't care and ended up hitting somebody a lot of the time. My question is, does anybody know who started doing this first and if one of them got the idea from the other?

    I think it was already done in rock 'n roll? Seems like quite a natural thing to do if you're rockin' :)
