We must openly declare war upon all American values. We must declare war upon it’s society, it’s religion, it’s government, it’s businesses, it’s media. In short, we must wage a war of information, if our values are ever to replace the old ones that have been worn down under the weight of hypocrisy. I repeat, for clarification, that this war is a war of ideas, a war of information. So let it be said thus, we openly declare war upon all of the values that our society holds dear.

It's to late for words..."America" is a smoke screen...government has taken and taken and taken right after right, over the last 40-50 years that the "slow bleeding" of freedom has been twisted into compromise and necessity, that we have sit blindly by and let "The Powers That Be" Buy the United States of America.

You want a war of words and information...nice idea, but futile. nothing less than an all out rebelion will be needed to even make a point. And that will be useless against NATO, who will step in as a "PEACE KEEPING DEPLOYMENT"(translates to marshall law)
Nope I am afraid it is to late for words, hell, it's just to late.

Its not to late, just take baby steps. First one is to get out of you computer chair and get out into the world. Or use the internet as part of your medium to spread new ideas and gather a community. But its to late for the people that have given up, or really have not tried anything. But act as if they are defeated.

Who says it's too late. All wars are wars of ideas. And spreading our ideas, our virtues, our noble honor, our culture, is the way.

Everyone needs to have a staunch and firm position.

NO ONE TAKES AWAY MY FREEDOM BUT I ALONE.

    That should be everyone's motto.

Ahhh, well it makes sense, that no one responds to this thread. The one thread that actually has a challenging and ferocious intensity about it, and no one gives a shit. Well, enough said I guess.

God, my soul weeps about this very issue everyday. The Bible says that if a nation falls on thier knees and cries out to God, then He will bless them and save their land. But instead, people like to pretend that this wonderful nation wasn't founded on Christian values and obeying the God of the Bible. People have taken the myth of seperation of church and stated and twisted it around to where no one even knows what it's about anymore. We are allowing the slaughtering of unborn human beings in cold blood. We have forgotten what it means to be an American. The American dream now consists of taking your children to Disneyland so they can watch two men make out while waiting in line on a ride. Yeah, once you bring up something positive, no one wants to talk about it. No one wants to have to admit that there is an all-mighty, loving, merciful God who loves them so much, if only they'd give him the time of day.

No, it is not too late to save this country. It is not too late at all. Let's take a stand for what's right. Let's vote for a candidate who holds those same Christain values as the founding fathers of this country. And most important, let's praise the Lord for all he has blessed us with!

I'm going to tread very lightly in this response. You are coming from a christian perspective, and that is okay. I am coming from a more eclectic, spiritual perspective, but I think we share the same ideas at the very core.

A spiritual revival would certainly save our country from the ignorance it is marching headfirst into. But, we would need to look towards goals beyond religion- turning THIS earth into a heaven, saving THIS planet, believing in THIS earth. We would also need to cast off certain 'morals' that have infiltrated the christian faith, such as guilt, sin, and shit, nevermind. I was trying to somehow agree with your perspective, but I simply cannot, because our spiritual idealogies are too different. I can't change myself to agree with someone else's opinion or beliefs, unless I share the same opinions, so I'll just shut up now.

I'll add though, that I believe in the things on this earth. I do not believe in afterworldly hopes. I believe that we exist on this earth, for the pursuit of our own pleasure, and if everyone would believe that, then there wouldn't be much more suffering in this world. I choose to not listen to the preachers of suffering, who preach that life is nothing but suffering/sin. I believe in the human will, and I believe in the human heart. 'God', whatever that could be, if it is anything at all, I believe all concepts and words are artificial, naturally. They are symbols for things. Humanity has gotten too caught up with words.

But, I'm beginning to truly realize the total impotence of politics nowadays. If we want change, we need to change the system, and that certainly isn't going to happen just by electing a certain candidate. We need a warrior leader, and the corporate sponsors who sponsor both candidates sure aren't going to offer us one of those. We need a warrior, or a new class of nobles, to rise out of the peasants. That's my idea, for change. I also believe in the Roman Empire, too. I think they had quite a good society, one without very many stigmas (public bath houses, open sexual relations, pagan-type culture). I don't know. Caligula was quite a good movie, and pretty realistic too, I believe. I believe in a pagan-hedonist type of lifestyle, because I think it's the belief system that embraces the human spirit the most. And all we know are ourselves, so let's stay faithful to THIS earth. This is all we know.

Moonjava? What on Earth are you thinking connecting Bush & your faith? To paraphrase my last post, the Bush administration supports violence, poverty and dishonesty. What about "loving your enemy?" Bush might love to insult, kill, and smear his enemies, but as yet, I see no signs of love. So why do you support Bush? Maybe its about abortion, but if you're concerned about the lives of the unborn, what about helping people after they're born (like all of those thouands of innocent Iraqis Bush's Halliburton war killed?) If you actually pick up a Bible and read it rather than listening to the right-wing interpretations of Bush supporters, you'll find that Jesus would probably associate Bush with Caesar and the corruption and greed of Rome that so appalled him.

Wake up & think for yourself rather than buying the GOP party line!

Also to "god" who wants to wage war on all American values. All? You mean wage war on democracy, on the few freedoms we've got left? I think it would be wise to define what values you want to replace American values with, and also preserve those values that are worth preserving or you'll end up supporting facism or something.

Wow. I am in awe. We do not have the same religious views, yet you did not attack me for it. You just said, "That's okay" and then explained how you feel about things. I'm glad we at least share the same values at the core. They are the glue that will hold our country together. Once again, I say God, you're cool.

Yeh, let's put it on a tshirt and sell it at the mall. Get mtv to sponsor it. Make a catchy lingo and get some hip director to make a blitz for it. Then we can can it and put it in our kids schools for a dollar a pop. Until the umbilical is severed, the revolution will be marketed.

I'm talking about replacing all these old values with values such as 'limited equality', 'freedom of mind', 'peace of spirit', and that type of thing. Basically, the 'hippie' philosophy of tolerance.

I was always told that the founding fathers weren't Christian at all. But I could be wrong.

This is a great idea, God. But where should we start?

They were Deists i believe, In a sense agnostic, but not to the point that they couldnt decide if they believed someone created the earth and our little nook into existence. These men were very truly Americas first philosphers and i am sure they would be quite upset at the way their/ our living document, the Constitution, has been taken and stretched to cover much more than originally intended. I will cover any fire by acknowledging the fact that our constituion has been ammended in swell ways, allowing women and blacks to vote, granting certain freedoms, giving us the really cool saying of "life libery and the pursuit of happiness" which i think i agree with GOD on that many people have forgotten about. I know about the here and now, i have felt a definite rise in my heart and mind, i am not a genius, i am not well articulated. I have trouble expressing myself but it is the only thing i am constantly and actively engaged in.

"alittle rebellion now and then is a good thing...it is a medicine neccessary for the sound health of government...god forbid thta we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion... the tree of libertymust be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure" ----Thomas Jefferson

That seems to be a crazy statement. Made by a man who helped build and form our nation which was created as a haven from radical churches. Seperatists. It seems as some radical Christians (as have been througout the history of the world) are beginning to look more and more like the radical islamists. Patriots ? Tyrants? Terrorists? Freedom Fighters? Where od we draw the line, with more words sure, but what we need for the change that would allow everyone true freedom is not marked in some package, who knows what it is, but Corey, GOD, it wont come if we destroy beliefs, (values perhaps, they tend to obfuscate reality) but it we destroy and beliefs, and i am not sure if this is actually in your writings at all, i am winging it, if we take these out, we will be filled with a large sense of apathy casue we got nothing to think.
    In my will it says,
"the minute i am braindead, if that is within the knowledge of the operator or machine handler, that instant, kill me, cause i dont wanna live if i cant think."
